Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Oh my, you want dining suggestions? I am filled with them. What's your pleasure?
*sigh* I must be getting ill, I couldn't come up with a clever or pervy answer.
Took the day off yesterday as my brother is visiting from the left coast for a couple of weeks. The show is on hiatus for a while and he never gets to come home during the summer. He wants to go to Cape Cod for a few days. Anyway, I took yesterday off (Friday afternoon as well). We took my nieces to Canobie Lake Park for the day. It was hot and muggy. A great day for it. Though I may be getting too old for amusement parks as I got kinda dizzy after a couple of rides and had to tell my nieces that they were on their own for a few of them. Maybe it was the heat. That said, still fun. Then I took the older one (who is also my godchild) to the Red Sox game last night. I was so exhausted when I got home that I was actually looking forward to work today in order to relax.
Sounds fun! Good game to see last night.

Hey. At least the bunny suit wasn't in the dream. :D

What's the fun in that? :p

I just mowed most of the front lawn. I'm ready to collapse now.

I miss anything worth knowing?

Well, let's see. First the earth cooled. And then the dinosaurs came, but they got too big and fat, so they all died and they turned into oil. And then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes Benzes. And Prince Charles started wearing all of Lady Di's clothes. I couldn't believe it.

Some people had birthdays, some are buying houses, some have started dating each other, some are living together, some are engaged, Gonzo bought a fishing house and gmann sold his. Gonzo is hosting a Lodge party at his place in August and everyone who attends gets a free chicken. ASAG is also apparently hosting some kind of a party for Sioux fans.

That's about it.

ETA: Oh yeah, Priceless survived his surgery and tCBG has been posting in funny formats.

Ooh -- speaking of which:

Gonzo -- how are the chicks? Any sacrifices to Mrs. G's cat? (and how is the cat?)

Edit -- mookie -- it is.

Mornin' Loj. Eagerly awaiting the results of gmann's verbal b*tch-slapping.
....go to work all day and then the answer is immediate....

It is. To make matters worse, Mrs. g's family is small (Mrs. g, mom, dad, brother. Not including me and the little g's) and they are very close. My posts may have a bit of humor to them but this is not going to be a fun conversation. I am going to give all of them a dose of reality that is going to make them second guess many many things. I had a tough time sleeping last night.
They may not wake up at all. As a matter of fact it would surprise me if they did. Famlies like that function by willfully ignoring anything that doesn't fit into what they want to deal with. They may be 'very close' but that might all be smoke and mirrors.

My prediction- Shock and surprise that this is brought up, disbelief in the face of obvious proof and anger that anyone would mess up the homeostasis.

Stick with it anyway. Just cos they play that way doesn't mean you have to. Hang in. No matter what you do they are who they are. You can only be responsible for protecting your family from the screwed-upedness. My in-laws have some strange foibles that have become more evident to Mr as time goes on. What he used to tolerate and condone (and drove me mad) he now sees for what it is.

Installment 2 in the morning or this evening???

Don't feel bad. I have over 20K posts and I feel the same way as you.
That is good to know. I need who ever has that n00b directory in their sig to pop up.

No one gets a free chicken. A free rooster, OTOH, is there for the taking. Only two available - first come first serve!

The chicks are now chickens. I expect eggs in another 6-8 weeks. They are bold and try to escape. I have been bad about posting pictures :o
I will correct that in the next couple of days.
The cat is finally recovering from the "horror" we subjected her to by having the oldest and his GF watch her while we were in Alaska. She was given canned food nearly daily, and allowed to sleep on their bed. Upon her return to our (her?) house, she was aloof and ornery because we wouldn't feed her canned food every day, and do not allow her in our bedroom. She also gained weight. I will for sure include a picture or two of the cat when I get the new chicken pictures up :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Tonight I decided to break up my streak of country-fried steak, breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches and steaks that I've had for several days. Don't get me wrong, I think that food is awesome (especially steak, its easily my favorite meal), but I was looking for something different. So I went to a restaurant that some guys from work called "some expensive place that serves frenchy food", since I didn't have to pay for it. I ordered a bowl of french onion soup, which was the best french onion soup I've ever had and an entree of pork tenderloin over a sweet potato hash with carmelized apples, onions and bacon and some sauce over the whole thing. It was very good, almost as good as the 16oz medium rare ribeye smothered in mushrooms and onions I had Saturday.

As good as tonight's meal was, it still couldn't top a big chunk of well-marbled ribeye.;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

2 hours 55 minutes since gmann's "T minus 60" post, and no word from him since.

I think they killed him and cut up the body, but I hope I'm wrong.
