11:50 and the burgers are fried for lunch this week. I'm going to bed. Don't start any more fires on the board while I'm asleep. The one I started yesterday was enough for a while.

Too late. There's a smoldering one in the NHL thread.

Smokey the bear reminds everybody that only YOU can prevent forest fires.

Agreed on all counts though. and guilty of stirring the pot a bit perhaps, but such is the case of internet message boards.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

there was a really good article that my parents found but I can't seem to find it on a search. Detailed the powerplant really well in all that engine jargon that I just nod and agree as if I know what it means;)

I'll try seeing if they still have the link, but all I can tell you is that our 2 engines combine for ~17,000 ponies, and the ship is getting new engines this winter, supposed to be more efficient and less polluting.

edit: found it! here's basically a really well detailed description of everything (and, if you look at the pictures on the right hand row a little more than halfway down is a really neat size comparison aerial photo.):

Not bad. I wasn't expecting a Fairbanks Morse powerplant, maybe they have a larger market share for high-horsepower marine engines than I expected. I truly did expect to see an ugly yellow engine when I clicked on the link, but I'm very happy that I didn't.:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

Between living in MQT and the Soo, I used to see that boat all the time a couple years ago. :D

ya, it's pretty nice overall. We haven't been to many places (MQT 1x, St. Clair 10x, Monroe 4x and Duluth every trip up north) since May, but it's all good. This **** boat just always seems to run in the dark in the river's and stuff. Makes for some effed up sleep patterns, if you can call it that, since I work up in the bridge whenever we're in the river for the duration of the river to get pilotage time.

They don't show pictures of our 4 yellow generators, apparently;)

I'm gonna need a refill.
XYZ didn't like the redness I evoked upon him.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

spamrep FTW for trying to spread rep.

edit to slow down my exponentially increasing post count today: heading out of Duluth in another hour or so, should be up your way tomorrow afternoon HF, and I'll send a wave your way around Manitou 'diva. Have a wonderful Tuesday everybody =]

Dammit XKCD you've broken into my brain YET AGAIN!

I've had as many as TWENTY tabs open on that ****ed site.

(I was reading it and I thought to myself "Yup, that's about what I do with TVTropes..." then BAM.)

I have no clue what TVTropes is, but I've done the path-chains with wiki/imdb/etc following various trains of thought and common links for a couple hours before. :o
