Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

Good morning, Lodge. It's 7-8-9 day.
Almost forgot! I fondly remember 7-8-90 day, we had a special little New Years Eve type celebration at 12:34:56. In fact, I may even do that to day, just to see who in my office is freaked out. Enjoy!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

Eh, Filled out a FAFSA today. Good times.
Someone's doing that at our house, too. Along with trying to jump through all the hoops to take advantage of the No Worker Left Behind benefits. Up to $5,000.00 per year for two years. Might want to look into that if you can.

Also, never got a response when I asked him about Saline. However, he's going to try to have some of his friends over on that Saturday. I'll just go hide somewhere, I think. :)

Mornin', Lodge...
I think things are finally starting to look up around here, but we're still in a wait-and-see mode.

Saline? Is that festival thing this weekend? Are people going? I like beer and I'm still undecided as to how I feel about men in skirts.

'Morning, Lodge! I'm exhausted even though I got a full night's sleep for 3 nights in a row.

Morning Lodge.

Lions Clubs International are having their convention a couple blocks away from my office this week. Lots of old folks in funny clothes walking around (even older than me, with even funnier clothes:p ). We really get the best conventions here - the Lions, the RNC, the Baptists a few years back. Rockin good times I tell ya...

Could be worse....you could get the Red Hat Society. :p

For fans of baseball odditieis....

The Colorado Rockies played the Washington Nationals in Coors Field last night. The Rockies won the game 5-4. The winning pitcher was Alan Embree.

Embree entered the game in the eighth inning with the scored tied 4-4, with two outs and a runner on first base. Embree picked off the runner to retire the side [in fact, the runner was trapped in a rundown and officially was "caught stealing."]. The Rockies came to bat in the bottom of the eighth, loaded the bases and scored a run on a sacrifice fly by Clint Barmes. The run made Embree the pitcher of record.

In the ninth inning Rockies manager Jim Tracy inserted closer Huston Street into the game. Street retired the side in order for the save. Embree was the winning pitcher and won the game without throwing a pitch. He never threw a pitch to the plate since he retired the Nationals by picking off a runner. The Rockies TV crew said it's just the second time since 1990 a pitcher has won a game without throwing a pitch.

In 2003 Embree got another win while throwing only one pitch.

It doesn't count because it was against the Nationals. :D

Sounds like an excuse for an impromptu absurd celebration.... TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!

Well my hat is off to you sir. I think there need to be more male masseuses. I get a massage once a year and always ask for a male masseuse; they have much stronger hands/better grip/more force, but aren't always available.

I prefer lesbians. They too have strong hands.

Ugh -- my grandmother belongs to them and bought me their cookbook. *blech*

Heh -- true, but I have trouble going up and requesting a lesbian. If there aren't any male masseuses available, I request a woman with strong hands.

Edit -- I wondered if I'd see you this morning, Scarlet. Still on the apt. hunt (not sure the one I thought was going to come through will actually come through) and have a few in your area. May have questions for you about how you get home from hockey...

There are these things called "legs." I'm told that if you move them just right, you go forward. I think it's called something weird, like "walking."

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

like.... "hey scarlet, can i get a lift home in yer sweet ride?" :p  :D
*pbbbt* She does have a sweet ride, but that's a tad presumptuous :p
I was thinking, more like "hey, scarlet, how long does it take you to get home from Agganis -- so I know how late I can stay at T's for post-game"

Good Morning Lodge.

I just looked at my calendar for the rest of the year and realized that I'll be travelling or in training for more than half of the remaining weeks this year.
