Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

I was supposed to meet with a guy about getting an apartment in Arlington VA... until he found a roommate... I was hoping I could end this whole apartment thing by now... its hard finding a roommate when you're way outside of the area.... especially when juggling 3 or 4 other things. I'm not angry with the guy, I just want to be settled and comfortable that things will go alright and I don't have to worry about all these little things.

I had to figure today wasn't going to go well when i had to take 20 minutes to find parking on campus during the summer.

Hi everyone. New York City was fun. I may have sweat through most of my clothes, however.

Good info, right?

What concerns me is that you're not sure if you actually have sweat through all your clothes. Is there reason to believe that the wetness is something other than sweat? Not your sweat?;)

:D

I have dust that is older than Patman!

sounds like a bed to me ;)

I'm just frustrated that some of this stuff is out of my hands and that I'll probably end up in a situation that won't allow me to save up for either a mortgage down payment or a new car. I'd like to get a nice apartment where I feel that I've gotten somewhere to some degree and I have to be within reasonable commuting distance of work and DC.

I don't hold any of the cards in this situation... i'm sick of treading water.

Yep.
They've got some Rugby matches Thursday night, Gaelic Football and Pub in the Park Friday night, and then the big deal going on Saturday with everything else.
Oh... well if it's this weekend, I'll check with him tonight and get back to you.

As for the NWLB, it's full of paperwork and red tape. We read through the packet together; it's crazy, but will hopefully be worth it.

I think she is across the pond at the moment.

That explains why she isn't answering my email :p

What we need is a Lodge schedule so we know when people are in or not. Les is across the pond, wT is going to China and JF and gmann have more vacation time than Bernie...

Don't forget that Gonzo is in Alaska. :)

I just booked my flight, hotel and rental car for my first trip of many in the near future. I'll be in southern Indiana for 10 days, starting on July 22nd. What is there to do in southern Indiana on a weekend? I'm thinking of either going to Louisville for a day or possibly going to a baseball game in Cincinnati if the Reds are in town.

So you're flying to southern Indiana to go to Ohio and Kentucky...makes sense. :p

In case anyone is interested, I'll be in Vegas the week of 8/17. :)

So, who is going? I have hockey Thursday and am playing in a softball game Friday....but as of right now I'm fairly certain I could make it there Saturday. I suppose I could show up after 8 pm Friday night too...but at that point, it's probably not worth it.

I had to figure today wasn't going to go well when i had to take 20 minutes to find parking on campus during the summer.
I started my day off my slamming a drawer shut on my thumb. :o

Now I'm trying to do other people's jobs because they aren't here and they didn't take care of this stuff 4 weeks ago when they should have and now I can't do my job. Who knew suppliers would need resin to make plastic parts?  Seriously, the schedule being delayed because idiot project manager and idiot co-worker I'm going to China with, waited until 1 week from tooling completion to figure out how many parts we want to order and to place POs after I had been warning about material lead time for the 4 weeks prior is ridiculous.

/rant. I feel slightly better now. I also love having someone to blame...especially in this case where it was earned.

Happy Birthday ctf! Wait a minute, isn't Les supposed to be the birthday coordinator? How'd this get missed?

ctf?? I thought her birthday was in January...

OK... I call shenanigans on that. She is NOT 27.

27 and just graduated high school? Wow, I know she was busy with all those activities she participated in...but it shouldn't take that long to finish high school.

Apparently she lied about her age in order to join USCHO. :D
