Ha! Did RFAlph yawn?

Good Morning Lodge! My fantasy of having the Dory be up by a few goals and then lose in spectacular fashion wasn't quite what happened but having them schooled and shut out- that worked too!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

Anyone still in the "Miatas are slow" camp hasn't driven the newest gen. No Camaro obviously, but the power sneaks up on you. It doesn't seem like it's working that hard, until you realize you're doing 60 in 4th and have 2 gears to go.

I merged onto CO-285 on my way home from Conifer today, rowed through all six gears, looked down, and it was cruising at 85 without breaking a sweat. At 8400 feet of elevation. That's impressive.

My NB would pull 4 grand cruising at 70. This thing is on a different planet.

Only real gripe so far is the farking lane departure nanny (I swerve around manholes/potholes and that sets it off,) but that's easy to turn off.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

My Cam won't beat you off the start. It's weird. Until you hit 50 or so, it seems slow (it isn't, but you expect more). 60-100? Yeah, you can go that fast, and you barely realize it. That's the scary part. On the Houghton trip, I hit 110, and it was like driving 55-60 mph. Saw how fast I was going, "slowed down" to 95. The drive was that smooth.

Note: alone, outside of the two other vehicles that were part of the group (one of which was also doing what I was doing), perfect driving conditions, etc. Now that I've done that, probably done playing "car" etc.
