And they say Techies are the nerds... :p

They still are. I was there for orientation during a Labor Day trip up there. Every single group of students had at least one Star Wars shirt, one Star Trek shirt, an anime shirt, and a Pokémon shirt. It was universally true. :D

It's a shame Triumph was not there.

Mookie has always kidded around the idea of hitting up the national.... of course will be hard now.

Mookie has 7 bretts- sent three to psa to rate. Those dudes are tough. 2 sevens are the highest.
Have the yount and Brett in mini too. That set will never be completed.

Just bought a Brett rookie.

As for cards, many collectors (including myself) hate the grading thing that has become a necessity for value of cards. Some value centering over corners, and some are vice versa. PSA has their own whatever judgement and decided that THAT was the universal way of grading cards, whatever that is. While I still know quite a bit about the hobby/business, I've pretty much left it behind.

Had a nice afternoon, actually got kudos from the corner store today, answering some questions from customers that the staff couldn't answer. Basically, the customers were told, "Ask this guy, he knows." I am feeling confident on getting my footing in the industry for the future.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

PSA is very tough. One thing I do like it that that they (and collectors) do take age of card into account. IIRC, a pre-1986 "7 rating" is like a post-1986 "9 rating."
PSA is prostate Surface Antigen. It took me awhile to understand what you were talking about!

There is something wrong with this?

Nighty night nocturnal ones.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 200 - End of Season

So, my Dad passed away last night. He went through so much these past few months that it was actually a bit miraculous he lived as long as he did. He was declining pretty rapidly yesterday but didn’t want to go to the hospital. We were all there with him when he passed. You know, I made my peace with the fact that this was going to happen but man, it’s still hard.
