Am I the only one who isn’t that surprised by AIC winning? Upsets are happening with increasing frequency. At some point they just aren’t that big of upsets anymore. The top to bottom of college hockey has never been closer.

I'm surprised at THIS one. Never won their conference, never won their tourney, never have finished above 500 before. I don't even know if they've ever topped 30 in the PWR after Jan 1 (and they were 31 this year).

I didn’t realize AIC from the previous years was playing tonight.

They won 22 games. That’s not AIC of old. So you can’t really compare.

From what I know it's pretty much the same team as last year. Just a different coach.

Yeah I’m not trying to take anything away. It’s a huge win. It’s just less shocking year after year.

Harvard/UMass wouldn't have surprised me, and tomorrow BGSU/tUMD I could see....

As I said, I'd like to see basketball deliver a true top-seed vs. bottom seed upset. #1 vs. 64-68. And this is why we all love college hockey!*
