Sounds like a fun time, wish I could have made it last night but we didn't get back from our cabin until close to 10.

We would have stayed at the Coop, but there were some miscommunication issues with our server, and some people (rightfully so) were not happy, so I said screw it, let's head next door.

Just to make ya a little jealous, I had a 21YO Bushmill's. :)

Howdy Lodge. Back from Long Island. The drive home was only 3 1/2 hours as opposed to over 4 on the way down. No construction delays on Sunday morning. There was a Greek diner up the street from the hotel, had breakfast, filled up the gas tank, at a full serve station no less, and hit the road at 8:16. Watching the weather yesterday before heading down there it appeared that we would be driving in rain all the way home. Nope. All sun. That helped.

Concert last night was awesome. Great venue. Gorgeous day. Excellent seats. No rain! My niece had the best time. It was fun watching her totally in the moment, because I was her a million years ago so I knew what this show was for her. And since I have decided at this point in my life that I am unashamedly a fan of this music, I thought it was a great show. Would go again. And you call all shut it.

Their management team gets major props from me for signing on Nabisco as tour sponsor. On the way out there were a bunch of folks passing out Oreos (Oreos! ), Chips Ahoy, Ritz Bits and Cheese Its. We were starving so it was perfect timing. And Oreos!

glad ya had a good time. nice! :D

I don't think that I have been at the theater at Jones Beach, or Jones Beach itself, since before you were born.

Dumbass is back on the D-1 side.

I see that.

So, got a text from my bro about gift ideas for the niece yesterday. Awesome. Some good ideas. I head to Target and when I get there...I realize I forgot my phone. Ugh. So I ended up buying a gift card (which actually WAS one of the suggestions). However (wait for it)...when she opened her card today, and saw the gift card, I told her she could buy AAAANNNNNYYYYthing she wanted to, provided the card would pay for it. Bro gave me a nice sibling rivalry glare after that statement. :D

Good evening Lodge.

We picked a great day to attend a Twins game. The weather was perfect. The boys got to meet a couple players. One ex player in particular went way out of his way for the g boys. Ron Commer. Class act. After the game the boys and I got to run the bases.

From what I hear, Coomer is a class act all the way. And yes, it was a PERFECT day out.

Big time class act. Before the game the boys and I went to check out where FSN televises the Twins live show. Little g watches the shows and that's one of the things he wanted to check out today. So we walk up (little g is in his wheel chair) and Coomer and Tom Hanneman are moments away from going live. Coomer waved at the boys and literally jumped out of his chair and approached us as did Hanneman. It was sort of odd but in a good way. Lots of people hanging out checking them out and Coomer and Hanneman do that for the little g's. They shook our hands, posed for a picture and such. Long story short, Coomer got us access to the locker room and we went up and met Dick and Bert. Moral of the story.......I guess it pays to bring a little kid to a game in a wheel chair. I wonder what I could have done back in my bachelor days with that gig. ;) :p

That. Is. Awesome. Honestly, I'm swelling with gratitude that Coomer and Hanneman did that.

Had a girl moon us yesterday afternoon on the boat. First one for the summer! Looks like they're learning that we won't honk the horn unless we get a show.

This post is Worthless without pictures. ;)

Back from the Beach. crashed last night in Holland with a friend of mine from school and later in the afternoon we went over to a little public beach just a little north of Holland State Park. Pretty much just a little 75 yard public access spot that you got to hike over a dune to get to, but on a nice stretch of beachfront. hung out, got some rays, waded out into the surf as it was pretty windy today and it was pretty choppy out in the water. Oh, that and we sat there with her boyfriend doing color commentary of this fat guy who was attempting to get into a kayak out in the surf. Dude would have been far better off getting on right on the shoreline and having somebody give him a push, or in his case, a tow.

THis is way cool.

Back from the backwoods of Maine and into the salt mines. Up at 4:45 to get Lil back by 7 for practice. Medium DD coffee with no appreciable effect. It is going to be a long day.

Yay, gray rep from our fave area clown. It's kind of cute how he thinks he matters. I don't even read the threads he frequents (I don't even KNOW what threads he frequents).
I got one too. The idiot is too ****ing stupid to realize that his gray rep does nothing.

I started cleaning out the garage yesterday, and got as far as burning all of the scrap wood from trim, doors, and other scrap wood that I have removed from my house during working on it, and burning it. Then I took a bunch of drain oil to O'Reilly's for recycling. I feel like I should have gotten more done.
