I think I figured out how to fix our old tv. If it works, we'll have a two 46" set up. :)

In the mean time, I have to get in the kitchen and bake a cake. I made ice cream yesterday (bourbon cherry pecan) and I have egg whites to use up. Hooray angel food cake!! :)

You'll be surprised at how often you use both tvs at once, being sports fans. I didn't really notice it until I was back down to one tv. /firstworldproblems

Good morning Lodge. Cloudy day with some rain around here in the Cream City (look it up). Well in the burbs thereof.

Morning, Lodgrz.

Scarlet -- LOVE me some Johnny Rockets!

MNS -- Why yes, the one we've got is in the MOA. I've been there twice in the last month. Good iced tea, too.

Ralph -- Nein, Ich habe nicht "ein paternoster" gehoren.
(I know that actually means ''I haven't heard the paternoster" but I can't remember how to say 'about'. :embarrassed: )

I think:

Ich habe vom Paternoster nicht gehört.

Uh, that was last week?

Greetings from Long Island. Here in a cheap "Quality" Inn. Walls are very thin. The satellite tv does not work. Trying to decide what to wear/bring tonight based on the forecast. The venue is outdoors. 40% chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Mookie at his club tonight with girl. One of the members is in a Beatles cover band and they are te entertainment for the evening. Mookie is very familiar though young ( :p ) as he listened to Beatles music in lieu of disco in 70s.

I listen to the Beatles' music now instead of what's being put out as pop music these days.

Good day to be at the cabin.....even if it was too windy. :)

Had a girl moon us yesterday afternoon on the boat. First one for the summer! Looks like they're learning that we won't honk the horn unless we get a show.

Morning!

Great night last night. Had a few rounds at an Irish pub with many a friend, then moved on to Toby Keith's to close out the night. Worth mentioning: the band there (Hicktown Mafia for the locals)...I'd say about 5-6 of the first 10 or so songs we heard were not country; they were standard pop rock favorites (ex: Jessie's Girl, etc). Had a ton of fun.

Sounds like a fun time, wish I could have made it last night but we didn't get back from our cabin until close to 10.

Howdy Lodge. Back from Long Island. The drive home was only 3 1/2 hours as opposed to over 4 on the way down. No construction delays on Sunday morning. There was a Greek diner up the street from the hotel, had breakfast, filled up the gas tank, at a full serve station no less, and hit the road at 8:16. Watching the weather yesterday before heading down there it appeared that we would be driving in rain all the way home. Nope. All sun. That helped.

Concert last night was awesome. Great venue. Gorgeous day. Excellent seats. No rain! My niece had the best time. It was fun watching her totally in the moment, because I was her a million years ago so I knew what this show was for her. And since I have decided at this point in my life that I am unashamedly a fan of this music, I thought it was a great show. Would go again. And you call all shut it.

Their management team gets major props from me for signing on Nabisco as tour sponsor. On the way out there were a bunch of folks passing out Oreos (Oreos! ), Chips Ahoy, Ritz Bits and Cheese Its. We were starving so it was perfect timing. And Oreos!
