Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #2*2*7*6: It's Summer, why is there MATHS?!

Went on a date tonight.(OMG***IKNOWS!)

Was going well until I crapped out. Up since 4:00am and running off of roughly eight hours of sleep over the last 70 hours or so. Pretty sure I didn't screw things up beyond repair though.

It has been a long time. I have no idea what I am doing.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Parental authority invades for the weekend. Free groceries for me!

Good morning Lodge.

Slowly counting down the hours until weekend. Taking bf on a mystery date tonight (in that he has no idea where we are going, even though he should have been able to piece this one together). Dinner and a Weird Al concert, 'cause I'm "White and Nerdy"

Girlfriend and I went to Toby Keith's last night for a national concert. Randy Houser, for those that know country music. We got there a little early, ~7:00 for a 9:00 show, because we wanted to get a steak dinner, and have a few beers before the show. We were sitting in a booth waiting for our food, and some girls with K102(local country station) come up, and asked if we wanted to do a meet and greet with Randy Houser! We said yes, and got to go back to a reception area they had back behind the building, where his tour bus was parked. Got to meet him, chat a little bit, take a picture with him, have him sign something. It was pretty sweet. First time I've had the chance to do something like that. I almost had him sign my boot (he has a song titled "Boots On" so it would be fitting), but decided not to at the last minute. If I had him sign it, then I wouldn't want to wear it again, and I'd have to buy a new pair right away. Plus, I don't know if Randy Houser is a big enough name to have something like a signed boot. If it were Church....well, thats a different story.

We met up with a friend and his wife, for the show. The show was excellent, his new song is a huge hit right now, and I thought he played it a little early, I would have liked to hear it at the end. His big hits were really fun (Running out of Moonlight, Boots On, How Country Feels), the encore was an incredibly good cover of "Simple Man" and then "Whistlin' Dixie". He also played his version of "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk", which he wrote for Trace Adkins. So we got to hear that live twice in a week. Very fun! But now I'm pretty tired at work.

After work we're heading up to the north shore for a romantic getaway. :)

I doubt it. Is Adam's family from Mississippi? :p

Also, I bought a round of mason jars of Nordeast, and 2 more mason jars for me. My bar tab was $9. Yes, $9. They only charged me for one. Thank you goes out to Bartender Jess!

Should have had him sign it on the bottom of the boot. Next to the hole where you noted "fix this".

I was planning to leave early today, about 15 minutes ago, but then the whole world around here blowed up, yo. Not a fan. Technology should work how it's designed to work.

The kid just graduated, not sure if I'm happy or sad. One chapter is closed and another starts. What am I going to do next spring when he isn't playing baseball? No one to go to hockey games with me, no one to yell and scream at Timmay with me. I don't think I thought this thru to well

First off - ScarletT? Really moookie?

Second, she's not actually my boss. She is my boss' peer, same department, different team. But I work with her. And she came to the Emmys with me two years ago. I went in to her office to tell her you texted me to tell me you were playing golf with her husband. And then I said "Oh, did you know your husband was playing golf today? I probably should have lead with that."

Beauty.

Slow day at work. Should have seen that coming with the nice weather and all. My building is right off a major highway that heads north (and connects with one of the two main highways in my neck of the woods that really head north). Usually, you can see the rush hour start around 3-3:30ish. Today? 1:30-2ish. It's a decent cue, unscientific as it is. Also, getting kudos from the boss for my work this week, as far as hitting all the deadlines with somewhat ease, despite not having a co-worker help, which is the usual scenario. :)

An after-work beer tastes so much better after a week like this.

Come on mookie, you know better than to get Skarlet all worked up.

Great front porch night. Surfing a little, reading a little, and currently grooving to Exile On Main Street.
