Currently sitting around a huge bon fire. The temp is cool enough in which the heat of the fire feels great. No wind. Clear sky. Stars everywhere. Fifty feet from the lake. Kids are out of gas and sleeping. mrs g by my side. Surrounded by good friends. Top shelf bourbon. Life is good.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Just got back home from a wedding in Wisconsin. Fun, fun times, except I am in some serious pain from the awful shoes. The sacrifices you make as a bridesmaid. It was awesome to have bar tabs under $20 again.

Yeah, $20 bar tab in Sconni will get you feeling pretty darn good.

Movie marathon day today at Chez Rube. Dreary day outside, and feeling lazy.

Cake was a huge hit. So excited! Someone asked if I did that professionally. Ha. They take about a third of the time to put the cake out that I did. Still- it was fun and psyched it went over so well.

The Fifth is not happy with the weather. She wants to drop her top something fierce. And I don't blame her.

Heh heh. Another sunny (mostly) day in Seattle. Tomorrow - same. Tuesday - same. Temps in high 60s to low 70s. Not typical June weather. I'll take it while it lasts.

Supposed to be beautiful in the AM tomorrow. I think I am going to take my cup of coffee out on the deck and hope the hummingbirds come to visit. Then I am going to turn into a whirling dervish and try to get all the stuff done I didn't have the mental energy to do the last week.

The local coffee shop recently expanded to a full menu with beer & wine. Nice to finally have a place in the 'hood we can walk to for dinner and/or drink. Really enjoyed it......and didn't need an umbrella. :)
