Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 199 - Dumb Poll of the Month

I've had a headache today, too.

I was screwing around on the laptop about an hour ago, and heard this huge KABOOM in the laundry room. I took my time getting there, thinking that I knew what fell over. I did not. Apparently the washer shook a bit too much, and the Costco-sized vat of laundry soap had fallen off of the dryer, busted off the cap, and now half of it was all over the floor. There was so much blue on the floor, it looked like someone blew up a smurf.

UGH! That will stink to clean up

I'm kinda sick of laundry soap at the moment. Thank God it wasn't carpet floor. That would have been a disaster.

Morning. I feel like death today.

Ditto here. The inner groin area from playing boot was all the tender today. And of course, we had freezing rain last night, so ALL the 50lb boxes of Ice Melt shipped out today. Probably hand-loaded 200-250 boxes. I. Am. Sore.

s'upp y'all

Why would one load ice melt with their groin?

Bummer. A lot of that going on.
A little too much funfun juice on a Sunday.

Tell me more about your sore groin.

Still hurts. :p With my line of work, gonna need a day off or this weekend to arrive quickly. On the plus side, we are completely out of ice melt, and outside of that surge, this weather is keeping business slow.

For the locals, I can see 494N (just north of Carlson Pkwy) outside of my building, it was pretty much a standstill starting at about 3pm, and wasn't any better at 6pm when I left. FedEx pulled their trucks late afternoon.

My commute doubled to 15 minutes. Gee whiz. :D Round 2 starts tomorrow night, I believe. It's not necessarily the snow, it's the layer of ice from Monday's freezing rain that is messing things up.

I took the light rail down to the bus. My normally ~70 minute commute to the AV transit station took about 100, which isn't too bad. The train was actually late arriving to us downtown, due to some sort of failure with a different train on the Blue line route (MoA to Minneapolis). The snow was much worse the further south you went. It didn't look too bad along the MN River, but a couple miles south of that and we had much more snow. It's days like these I'm thankful for my Subaru.

I heard Eagan/AV got hit hard, and not much on-time plowing. I guess I live in the right ZIP Code. :)

Faribault and Northfield had 12" and 10" respectively; I'd estimate AV and Rosemount at 6-7".

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 199 - Dumb Poll of the Month

Weather here is ok now. We had freezing rain and icy roads this morning.
I'm wondering if my trash will get picked up. Often it's delayed by a day, but they never picked it up last week. At least it's cold so it doesn't smell. So now, my trash can has been sitting at the curb for a full week.
