Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 199 - Dumb Poll of the Month

My wife is trying to get me to work from home on Wednesday, as if I have a say in the matter. We have a predicted high of -13F, I figure it can't hurt to ask my boss so I can placate my wife. At the same time, it might physically hurt to ask my boss.

-13 isn't even that cold. The wind is going to be a *****, but -13 isn't a problem.

Even for a guy who HATES the cold, today/tonight isn't bad. The wind is a little annoying, but meh, it's January in MN. I've learned to accept it, and it happens at least once every year. Heck, maybe 6ish years ago all of February never got above 32 degrees, and there was a 50 degree swing in there (real temp, not wind chill). Now, this sounds odd, but I'm actually mad that Saturday's high will be close to 40.

It's my childhood friends' and my annual boot hockey reunion game, and that's a little warm. 20-25 degrees would be perfect.

I need a refill. I was laughing at the BC fanboys for coming into our thread trolling. They didn't like it. :D

On the positive side- they only show up when we are doing well and even better they are really sucking this year making me happier. :D Life is good.

edit- I have 'much to be proud of'. This makes me giggle. I got under the fanboys skin. Lil ole me. I am still smiling.

Thanks for the prayers all. Please keep them coming. He's still in rough shape but at least he's sleeping. Yesterday was pretty awful mostly because the nurse gave him an Ativan when I asked her not too. He was delirious and hallucinating all day. Could not get him to sleep. Finally he did and I think the Ativan has worn off and he's finally catching up on all the sleep he's missed.

So, he wound up having a heart attack at some point over the past few days. They can't pinpoint when exactly. And now potentially some congestive heart failure. Oh, and to top it off, he has pneumonia. He was at the cath lab yesterday morning to remove a blockage and now has a couple of stents. That seems to have helped with the oxygen level in his blood, which had dipped to dangerous levels on Sunday when I called 911. It's been a mix of many things. I've been here at the hospital since Sunday. These rooms have couches that open up so my mom and I have slept here the past two nights. I'm waiting for the cardiologist follow up today. The nurses can't give me any idea when they will show up and I don't want to leave the room in case he shows up. This is going to be a loooooong process. I hope he's up for it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 199 - Dumb Poll of the Month

No matter what happens in the Mayor's Cup this evening, there won't be a big crowd of other Lodge members at the HHT or *HT tonight.

My prayers too, Scarlet.
