The snow is here. Already have a 1/2 inch on my deck. Should be fun tomorrow. Heard anywhere from 3"-12". Then the cold comes back. Whee.

Asking for thoughts and prayers seems a bit trite but I really need them tonight for my dad. He is not doing well. Here at the hospital with him now. Hoping he makes it through the night without them having to intubate him. This is the most scared I’ve ever been.

Started cleaning out the spare bedrooms, closets and crawl space this weekend. Had a truckload of stuff to donate, and both the garbage and recycling are full, with another big pile to fill them up again in the garage. Holy crap, useless **** tends to pile up. It is nice to get rid of a bunch of stuff we don't need and will never use again. Next step is my mom is coming up with a trailer, to take a bed, futon, and some other random stuff, and some stuff to burn on the wood pile at the farm. Then we can tear out the carpet and trim in the spare bedroom, and get it painted, and renovated up nice. At the same time, have a guy coming to tile the new bathroom, and a buddy is working on the vanity and linen closet. I bought cedar planking for the ceiling to install when tiling is done. Making progress on the house.

My wife is trying to get me to work from home on Wednesday, as if I have a say in the matter. We have a predicted high of -13F, I figure it can't hurt to ask my boss so I can placate my wife. At the same time, it might physically hurt to ask my boss.
