::thread slowly trickles to a stop?::

Good Afternoon Lodge! I have no idea how women survived in hot, humid climates wearing layers of heavy clothing and no fan or AC. BLECH!!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

On the side of the road of I-95, 425 miles into my drive north. Had a tire blowout on my seadoo trailer. Ugh.

I'm fine, roadside is enroute to come fix me up hopefully. Not what I wanted though.

I have no idea how anyone survived in hot, humid climates before AC.

Saw something once about how people who are raised in hot climates from a young age are more tolerant of heat than those who are in AC all the time. I wonder about those who came here from cooler climates.

I melt if it’s above 70, -10 isn’t too bad though.

MN is often rated as one of the healthiest states, IIRC. This region also is only second to Siberia as to temp swings on a yearly basis (not just MN, mind you; I think it was the upper midwest). Body HAS to adapt, or perish. It's not just illness, but accustomed to the weather at hand.

What a day. A very, very long day. Made it to my relatives near Raleigh just before 1am. Was supposed to be around 8pm.

Hopefully I got my excitement out of the way for this trip, about 950 miles to my final destination (planning on 1.5 days).

Weather in Capital City, MN has been glorious the past few days. Mid 70s, little humidity...it's been great.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

Evening, Lodge. Slow day today, thankfully. Tomorrow is Armadillo's b-day celebration...at a certain Mediterranean Grill. Gonna be a sh*show. LWB/Mr LWB and I are Lyfting it there. There's clue 1. :D

What is funny is, it's basically the same group as last weekend in MI, with a few additions. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

Good morning Lodge. I know those of you who are friends with me on Facebook saw the news that my cousin Joanne passed away yesterday. It’s just so sad, but she’s at peace now. Thank you guys for being my sounding board through this. I hope I didn’t come across as...I don’t know, whiny? It’s been a weird situation. Families can be challenging. I’m not sure if there will be any service, but I am going to see if I can go down there, hopefully with my parents, at some point.

And since I don’t say this enough to anyone, I love you guys and my college hockey family.
