Hay Mavs, sorry about the car situation. On a more pleasant note, I'm starting to look into planning my trip to Mankato in October. What hotels are close by the rink? Or on/near campus?

Our rink is actually off campus downtown. I’d stay at the Hilton Garden Inn (Civic Center Plaza).

BU will likely be staying there and a skyway connects right to the arena.

It’s also right down next to some solid bars and restaurants — you will be having Pagali’s Pizza when you’re here — it’s two blocks from there as well. (It was voted #1 Pizza in MN last year or the year before I believe :))

I presume you’ll be able to get tickets through BU, but let me know if you need help on that front. Being the first series and a big name opponent, I’d anticipate good crowds if not a sellout, especially Saturday night.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

Mettler's in Mankato, or so I've been told.
Mornin', Lodge!

Did some exploring yesterday, bbdl leading the way. Hit up an old dam, walked right up to the f*er, which was pretty cool. Then hit up a place where there WAS an old mining building, foundation/smokestack is pretty much all that is left. A buddy actually got into the smokestack to try for a pic (looking upwards) but it didn't turn out. Part 2 of vacation starts today as we head out of Houghton and up to Eagle River for the next couple of days.

Interview went fine, but salary is a no-go. Only elephants work for peanuts.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

Greetings from Cape Cod, Lodge peeps. Came down here last night, staying with my friend at her house here. Going to the Greek festival at the Greek church I. Hyannis tonight. Just a picture perfect day on the beach today. Almost didn’t want to leave. A couple more friends coming down tomorrow, l believe it’s supposed to be another beautiful day, with rain at night.

While driving to the beach, we drove by The Brewster Book Store. They were having an author signing with William Martin. We drove by and I was like, “wait, William Martin that wrote Back Bay and Cape Cod? I love those books!” We turned around and went to meet him. Bought his new book, which he autographed and I bought Cape Cod to read again. On the beach on Cape Cod! So random but pretty cool.

:( lilnsl has been interviewing. They are offering about the same salary as he can make working at the market. Finally had an interview yesterday that looks more promising.

Good Morning (somewhere it is morning) Lodge!

Happy Birthday Twitch Boy!

Shot an 81 this evening. I’ve shot 80 twice, about 20 years ago, but this is best I’ve shot since. This is just about the high end of how I can play.

Cousin's wedding tonight. Great time.

As a 37 year old, I shouldn't be outlasting these 20 year olds...
