Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

Lucky for us, we live far enough north and west we should be safe from most problems.

There will be localized flooding im sure (up to 10" could fall), and some wind damage is possible (50 mph max around here i think).

But i have a crawl space and dont live in a low lying area. So my only concern really is power outages.

Be safe!! Regardless of your location, I agree that power could be your biggest worry. Make sure you have flashlights! And stock up on water!!

My friend who weathered Irma and Maria on St Croix said to get out cash. That without power Credit Cards don't work. $$ get very hard to come by.

I have a friend on a barrier beach in So Carolina. Not looking good. :(

Good Afternoon Lodge!

Spent the AM at Meineke after lilnsl brakes failed on the way to work. He just had them repaired <4 mo ago so it is covered. Guy said some part that he never has to replace rotted out. :( They are still searching for the part

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

So, I realized midway through my flight last night that I forgot to set my dvr to record the Emmys red carpet show and also the Awards show itself. Tried to set the recording thru the Xfinity streaming app, no dice. Downloaded the Xfinity Remote app. Still nothing. I googled it and it turns out last year Comcast had to delete that option from its services due to a court case. Great. Now what? I may have to call my mom to go to my place to do that for me. Gah! I blame this on being overworked.

The heavy rains from the outer bands of Florence have hit my neighborhood in the last few minutes. Expected to last a couple hours.

Hope you are still all in one piece! My friend on St Croix said Isaac decided to peter out with only lots of rain and winds not bad. (Of course after Irma she thinks most winds aren't bad)

Good Evening Lodge!

RFAlph- they are talking about spread sheets in the gear grinding thread. I thought of you.

Evening, Lodge. This is too hot for fall weather. Yes, I finally said something against the heat/humidity. I know.

Beer fest tomorrow, looking forward to it. Always a fun time.
