Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

I forgot to mention the screaming baby on our flight to Israel about a month ago. For 9 out of the 11 hours that kid was otherworldly upset. Annoying, yes. But I mostly felt bad for the little guy, and his mom. She was trying everything. Nothing helped.

Hotel put peeps next door to mookie with a youngun who was up all night. They woke mookie up around 230a other night with kid next to adjoining door and parents making noise. After 45min mookie yelled “QUIET!!!” loud enough for the street to hear.

No noise after that and nobody in the room next evening.

Ugly American ;)

I am not angered at that point. Not one bit.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

There were a couple people that voiced their displeasure, but double that amount (including me) shut them up. I just said "You don't think she (the mother) would rather be sleeping, too?"

I don't ever say anything in that situation, but it still annoys the **** out of me (like it does everyone). I just put my noise canceling headphones on and it is usally good.

The only time I was really upset about it (still didn't say anything) was on a flight from Bogota to Buenos Aires. A mother had a really young baby, and the baby cried and cried, and the mother did nothing. She didn't even seem to care. That ****ed me off.

Yeah, if the parent isn't doing anything, then we have an issue. If the parent is making an effort, I'm way more understanding.

We are currently having a discussion on the RPI offseason thread on the D-I board about red lines. There is an NCAA rule that the red line must be visible even if there is a logo at center ice. Is anyone not in apparent violation of this rule?

It was FD08 who posted this , so it could be fake news. :D ;)

When it comes to our rink I guess it comes down to interpretation. The red line is outlined through the logo so you can still tell where it is.

I'm not aware of the specifics of the rule myself but I have heard it's the center face off dot that needs to be clearly identifiable. At one time the tongue of our Bobcat logo was the dot but they had to shift the logo so that the dot was visible.

I just checked, in case my memory was foggy. SCSU is in violation of that rule, if it actually is a rule.

FAKE NEWS!!!!!

Visible through the logo is fine according to what FD08 quoted.

If tDonald only watches the weather forecasts, he is correct about fake news. For the second time this week, I stayed near home in case it started to pour. We're finally getting rain now (and lots of thunder).
We were at the beach today with purple, grey, scary looking clouds. Lots of thunder. Whip out the phone and look at the radar and lightning apps. THing split and went around us like we were in some kind of bubble

You would be incorrect. Well, the baby was not crying, at least not that i saw but some brought a toddler. To a loud, crowded concert with no headphones.
We were at a Drum and Bugle Corp thing last night. Couple sits down in front of us with baby prob around 7 months old in onsey only. Uses the blanket that was around baby to sit on (huge thunderstorm right before they started). We are fairly close to the field. No ear protection. They did stand only (no routine) d/t field conditions. The music feels like a wall of sound hitting you at some points. I was shaking my head. After one really loud moment kid lost it and they finally left.
Are we talking about hockey in here? On a hockey board?

Good Afternoon Lodge!

mr les is finally installing the AC we bought 2 weeks ago. Left the beach today it was 78. Got home 91 and 70% humidity. UGH.
