Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 197: Hot! Hot! Hot!

I think i would start all with a proper introduction of myself...I am Mrs helen paul, a widow to Late Anderson paul. I am 67 years old, suffering from long time cancer of the breast

I wonder if she was going to give me money if she had finished her message. :)

I also wonder how many widows Anderson Paul had. :D

Flipping the switch on our ERP system tomorrow. The last year and a half of my life has been dedicated to the success of this massive project for our division.

We’re starting to hear and see some positive signs already. I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve right now.

I wish I could switch ours off. A little over 2 years since we went live and it's been nothing but a nightmare. We came from a home-grown in-house system fully customized for what we did and how we did it. Now we're on the most inflexible software I've ever seen. Every day is a challenge with new troubles along with compounded existing ones.

There is very little the 2 small bags of chips, a 3 Musketeers bar, and a trip to the bench outside for fresh air can't cure... :o Is it time to go home yet?

I received $2.5M from Mr.Jude Aguh. The total is now $744,851,847.53.
Unless things pick up, July will be the poorest month of the year so far.

I received $15.5M from Mr. Joel C. Sweren. That is slightly more than all of the money which I received in July. The total is now $760,351,847.53.

EnterpriseIQ (IQMS)

Never heard of it. What did you have before?

God, SAP sucks. Thankfully, I don't have to use it anymore with the position I have.

Evening, Lodge.

I love it for projects. Used to take 15-20 minutes to create a project. I am now able to create 15 projects in 15 minutes. The productivity gains are incredible.

I’ve fully drank the Kool-Aid

Custom software all written in-house over the last 30 yrs. I was on the original implementation team back in the early 80's. Over the years we just modified it to do what we needed. It worked but was written in a form of BASIC (started as WangBASIC). A mandate came from corporate to go to a "modern" ERP system.

IQMS gave us a very hard sell promising to work with us as they had no other customers in our market. What the sales people failed to mention was that each and every customization comes with a hefty price tag. So the powers that be (here) said to change the way we do things to fit the software.

Biggest. Mistake. Ever.

Good morning Lodge. Early day here in Las Vegas. Career Fair opens at 8:00am. Came down to the restaurant here at Caesar’s for breakfast. Ordered pancakes. Got enough for two. Should’ve asked if they had a short stack (they did). Why do restaurants serve such enormous portions? What a waste.

Saw the Backstreet Boys show last night and shut up all of you. I love them and it was a great show. Glad I paid the money for the seat I had!!

I have no idea what you guys are talking about with these acronyms. I think the work you guys do is much, much different than what I do.

If tDonald only watches the weather forecasts, he is correct about fake news. For the second time this week, I stayed near home in case it started to pour. We're finally getting rain now (and lots of thunder).
