Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #190: Springing Forward

Mornin'.

Housework Saturday. Gorgeous weather, too. Probably going to open up the place and get some fresh air in here. Found out a buddy and his family are in town from Madison, hopefully get to hang with them a little bit today. Haven't seen them in a couple years.

It's not the worst thing. I don't mind it.

Hourly people are paid weekly or bi-weekly.

It's been like that for my 27 years an Mother Mining. My dad retired around 2002 after 30+ years and it was always monthly for him, too. Doesn't bother me but I do sometimes hear newer employees express concern and/or are excited at month's end to get paid.

Speaking of MMM, I accepted a new position this past week. Very excited.

Congrats man! Same division?

Yeah, I could imagine it would be fun for someone out of college seeing that much cash at once. It would also be fairly scary that you don't get your paycheck until 30 days later in some cases.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Another lazy weekend around here. I should clean, but that involves being productive. Something I do not feel like doing.

Thanks, all!

Still within BSO but supporting a HCB team. Half the team is in the LA area which will be cool, definitely planning a trip or two around next year's Wild schedule. :)

Congrats on the new gig GE!

Happy Saturday Lodge peeps. It's snowing here today. A very messy and wet snow where I am. It's gross. If I wasn't in desperate need to get my hair done today, I'd still be home in my PJs.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #190: Springing Forward

Suppose, since the weather is so nice today, I should go do some work in the yard.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #190: Springing Forward

Some cat decided to hang out on my front stoop today, probably lost. It kept pawing at window next to my front door. Finally it started to get really loud, maybe 20 minutes ago, give or take. So I chased it away with the threatening sound of a broom head sweeping the ground. Damm thing marked the exterior of the house when it got scared, so I had to hose it off - the house, not the cat.
