Deja vu, Denver beats Miami 5-2, again. Sweep. Denver's 22nd win of the season and seventh in a row. In the seven game streak the Pioneers have scored 30 goals. They remain in sole possession of first place in the NCHC. Home next week versus Saint Cloud.

Four?! That's an improvement from last year! And bonus bottles!

And EFFING HHT TO THE NTH DEGREE! Today has been a great day. Between my beer trades and hockey (and even doing a good deed and giving away a high-end beer via raffle).....I am very happy right now.

HHT!! I wasn't going to make the trek up to New Hampshire but I did. Almost forgot what it felt like to stay for a whole game, watching a team that played a full 60 minutes! On the drive home I saw five different cars pulled over by state police. That had to be a record. For me, I mean.

Afternoon, Lodgers. I'm attempting to make the New Year's bread that was the subject of a cooking session with my mother right after Christmas. Right now the dough is rising. Another hour and a half to go till I get to punch it down the first time. In the meantime, I'm reading a book. There a few of us a work who formed a book club. Where you drink wine. It's this Thursday and I just started reading the book. It's a chick lit book so it's going pretty fast. And the TV movie based on the book is on HBO tonight. I could just watch that!

Coworker 1 replied that she wasn't eating squid, just the calamari. Coworker 2 then proceeded to ruin 1's world when he told her what calamari is. 1 up and ran to the bathroom and had to go straight home after that. :D AFAIK, she's not touched it since.

For my part, I thought it was kind of rubbery, but not horrible. I wouldn't order for myself.

Could have been worse. There's what is known as imitation calamari which is just sliced pig rectum. Not really Kosher.

I've met a few Iranians, and yeah, most of the ones that have gotten here think the guys in charge there are nuts.
