I would hope that my co-workers (intelligent nurses) would be above Dr. Oz, but who knows. Talking about cleanses and colonics and the like. Good lord people. Not to mention, we all work nights, which data has shown, wreaks havoc on your GI (among other body systems). 2 of the 20-somethings have already had botox as well. I'm feeling old, fat, and grouchy (and yet, I don't really mind).

Congrats! We've indefinitely suspended our search.
We'll keep saving though, just in case.
It takes all kinds. Buying into the have to have a perfect plastic face. Speaking of which- it is so distracting to talk to a guy with contoured eyebrows, or women with over exaggerated painted in eyebrows. And then we have the new thing for guys to have extremely close cut hair except for the flip of hair on the top and the shaved in part. People are starting to look like cartoons. (lil's whole team seems to be into this haircut. Being old I find it distracting and very silly )

A woman in my office, she might be in her early 50s, has clearly gone the Botox route on her upper lip. Watching her speak is tough because it's so very expressionless. Her smile only shows at the very corners of her mouth. It's hard to take someone like that seriously even though I know it's a must for my current project.

Change in plans, I guess we're going up to Voyageurs to ride the border lakes this weekend, instead of the UP. Guess they have decent snow there, and if they don't we can ride ice the whole time if needed. On one hand, was looking forward to getting back to the UP, but on the other, I've been to the UP so much, that it will be nice to get out somewhere different.

Disconcerting. Even worse- when they add the filler and they look like someone gave them a fat lip as well as immobilizing a large part of their mouth. I just don't get what the point is. (says the lady with wisdom highlights, wrinkles etc.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

I'd be more worried if you weren't. I panicked a couple of times after I purchased. "What happens if I lose my job?" "What if I can't afford insurance?" "What if I didn't calculate my finances right?"

There were a few times I had to call my dad to make sure I made the right decision.

anything is better than paying rent. f that.

...and if anyone needs money to make up shortfalls it's easy to put a listing on craigslist and give bj's!!!! :O

Good evening Lodge.

I agree with mookie. Owning is not for everyone but renting blows.

I bought my first house as a freshman in college and have owned ever since.

On my way to the *HT. No idea what is wrong with this team. It's disconcerting to watch.

I know I used up a lot of good karma with The Pats Super Bowl win but this..... this is ugly. How big of a martini can I get????

Well, Tanqueray makes about 1.5 million gallons of gin per year...

Yes, but speaking from past experience, Tanqueray sucks. Sapphire, Liberator, and Botanist - all far better for proper gin martinis, and Beefeater is the best "G&T" gin.

Good Morning, MEUSA! :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

You shut your dirty pirate hooker mouth.

The only gin I've ever tasted that I could drink are from small local distilleries. The Vikre stuff was actually really good, not as good as the Sugarbush or Aquavit, but still good.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

Discussions of gin at 9AM. My brain is still in coffee mode.

Good Morning Lodge!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

Not a gin fan. I'm a vodka girl.

It's Tuesday. I have my regular 1:1 with my boss at 1:30, then a quarterly 1:1 with her boss at 3:00. On a Tuesday. After a miserable Beanpot loss. I'm crabby.
