Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

UAA fans didn't like my comment in their thread that they need either a good stiff drink or a roll in the hay, based upon their collective reactions to someone else's post. One actually searched out my final post in the North Star College Cup thread to call me a whiner in rep, which is funny for a whole different reason. :D

I thought it was not only pretty good, but on point.

For the record, the UAA fans complaining are the same ones who will post and troll in the UAF thread.

*ing hypocrites.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

Quiet day here. Worked Thursday into Friday, slept fitfully for 3.5 hours, and then went to lunch with a friend that I haven't seen in close to a year that has been having a rough go of it (4 miscarriages and failed IVF). Was sort of an outreach as she has been avoiding most social interaction and is having marriage strain as well. We gorged at a great local place on burgers, onion rings, and a deep fried ice cream sandwich. Hung out for 3 hours.

Today, making brown butter coconut cookies, salted chocolate cookies for a gathering for the game tomorrow. Tcbg is making tomatillo salsa, green dip (cilantro based dip with sour cream), and bacon onion dip for tomorrow. Steak tips and homemade pierogies for dinner.

???

cabbage? or potato?

Potato (we're using boniato which is a South American white sweet potato). Leftover from the ham dinner I made earlier this week (bourbon, maple that was supposed to be glazed, but I over-reduced it and it was a caramel sauce instead).
