I bet it happened when he was running around naked in the living room on Sat night. Unverified true story. Mrs bbdl yelled "He's naked, avert your eyes!" I just cocooned under the blankets on the couch. My eyes were completely averted.

True dat.

Found out that work forgot I had the day off yesterday, so my replacement (normally comes in at 1, so they had to call him) showed up an hour after my normal start-time. Went downhill from there. The other guy who helps me out (and normally leaves at 2:30) ended up leaving at 6:30. It was that bad. One one hand, that sucks that things fell apart. On the other hand, it shows how valuable I am to the company. :)

So tired. Went to a lecture at 0800 until 1200. Then my phone wasn't charging so I was afraid to nap. Dentist at 1600. Work 1900-0730. I am a zombie.

Well, since you asked.... I heard a hissing noise when I was eating breakfast and getting ready to be very productive. Sounds like it is coming from the Pit (cellar). Thought lil had just been down there so asked him. He heard a hissing noise but did not investigate. Send him down again.

Hear a very panicked, "MUM!!!!!"

Oh Oh.

Water heater must have just blown. Water in the carpet, on the cement part of the floor.... WHEEE! Luckily it haddened gotten very far at all into the carpet.

Lucky for us we were home. mr les is usually gone by then. We shut off the H2O, started up the wet vac, Started manually draining the tank. Called and plumber who replaced it last time had an opening this AM. Is currently banging around down there. He is jacked we emptied tank already.

Not excited about the $$ which comes at an inconvienient time but other than that we were dam lucky that all things lined up to make the least disaster.

Oy, that's not good.

Just talked to my mom. She wants to borrow a suitcase of mine, doesn't know which one, so she and my dad are going to come to my place on Sunday to look at what I have. She said we can go out to lunch, too. Mentioned some place she saw on the Phantom Gourmet (weekly restaurant show) that is nearby to where I live, said they serve great steak tips apparently. Now, all I want to eat are steak tips and not the salad with Thin n Trim turkey on it.

I saw a recipe with pics for Roast Beef on FB. I had to go get some and that is what we are having. :)

Water heater installed, old one hauled away, all in the AM. Not bad
