Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #188: Hockey Is The Real Politics

Whoa mookie...up early or just getting in? :)

Almost spring-like day here in 617-ville. Jerkface poster over in the BU thread posted my real name and knows I'm a donor. Freaked me out a bit. No idea who it is. I reported the post, Board deleted a bunch of his (or hers?) posts. Not sure why they delete and not suspend. I was going to respond but think the best approach is to ignore.

Need to go to a wake tonight. :( Friend's mom. The woman was in her 80s and had been sickly for some time so it really is a blessing, but my friend was the only one of six kids who was there daily to take care of her. I know it's hitting her the hardest. Thankfully a 4pm meeting I had got moved till next week so I can bolt here to get to the church where they're waking her. It's going to be packed.

My mom's neurologist, the one treating her for Alzheimer's back those many years ago now, told me that even when there are multiple children the brunt of care generally falls to one child. It's seldom planned that way, but it almost always works out like that. And for each instance, it always a unique spin on a handful of scenarios (her way of saying our situations are just more of the same regardless of how we think we're alone in our circumstances).

Good Morning Lodge.

Sorry to read about the poster. I noticed they aren't suspending either, at least with a similar case I had a couple weeks ago; maybe it isn't a bannable offense. I still remembered when a poster tried to claim that writing about me resulted in a "denial of service attack". That was funny.

7 deg when I left my house in 952-land. It's almost the same, right?

You just forgot a digit

That digit retreated back into his body, methinks. It's cold out.

And WTeff? Posting real names? That's pure bullsh*. HankWP did that and got banninated very quickly back in the day.

That's like, the NUMBER ONE rule on the internet. No real names without approval. Hell, I don't even have my real name as my Facebook name. For some, it took a couple years to figure THAT one out. :D

I'm blessed with a very common name, especially around these parts. When someone I'm not terribly fond of asks if I'm on Facebook, I have no problem saying yes. Good luck finding me in the sea of thousands.

OK Mr. Anderson Johnson.

Good Morning Lodge. Cold today and need to find a sub to go to Gopher game tonight. Jr's been sick all week and my usual guys are busy. Have a few more to contact today then I may have an expensive coat rack tonight.
