HHT!! Sucky first period, but two goals in 32 seconds and then a third a few minutes later in the seconds period and voila! Our goalie had a skate issue - I think his blade fell off. Teammates were helping him off the ice, I thought he was really hurt! Back up came in and played for a few minutes and because of that. starting goalie doesn't get the shutout. Or something. Oh, and our best player may be hurt. He didn't look too good when he limped off. 10 minutes left in the third up 3-0 so Coach sent him back to the locker room when he came back to the bench.

Morning, Lodge.

Headed to a different branch of church today, they have a nice raspberry ale on nitro, and also it allows for people like LWB to join the group (and another GPLer who lives about 10 minutes away from said church). Should be a fun time.

Good morning Lodge. Going to go meet my parents at church. An actual church, not Brent's church. :) Then, supposed to having my birthday dinner at 4 this afternoon. Hopefully. A few friends have dropped out. We'll see what happens.

Good Morning Lodge.

Going to church (real church) with Jr for breakfast. Confirmation class does it every year as fundraiser. When Jr was in it we started the tradition of offering gluten free pancakes as an option and it continues. Also bacon and sausage...mmmmm.

Good time at church. The bartender remembered me from a couple months ago (as a couple GPLers are regulars there) and was on top of his game for service.

Funny note: got a text from a GPLer: "Did Bartender buy you a beer?" Me: "Dunno. Haven't got the bill yet."

5 minutes later, Bartender comes to check on us: "Oh sh*! I owe you a beer!" :D

Apparently the GPLer (Viking, FTR) prepaid for a beer on Wed for me, in honor of the Cubs winning the WS. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #187: Lazy End Days Of Summer

So, my boss wants us to take a quick trip to Lake Placid. Neither she nor my co-worker has any interest in taking the best route, which is an 8-seater prop plane to Saranac Lake. Quick, gets us closest. I've done it. It's totally safe. There is a flight from Boston to Plattsburgh, which is about an hour away. It's a bigger plane, not by much but enough to ease their concerns. However there are only two direct flights, one at 2pm, one at 5pm. They want to go in the morning and fly back the next afternoon. There is no way to do that. You should see some of the connections - three different ones. It would be faster to drive, which they both considered. But it's 5+ hours. They're getting annoying about it.

5+ hours isn't a bad drive at all.
