I don't think he's ever actually been to it. Just seen it on tv.
Do they take checks? ;)

Hello, Lodge.
Trying to work nights, plus get tons of stuff done during the day -- car needed some work, Rx needed picking up, etc. Fun times. I need a vacation.

Even if they did, it's cash only for me. Speeds up the lines/transactions at a venue like that. :p

Evening, Lodge. Work has been swell. There was an error in diverting business, since we weren't fully staffed, hence the long weeks. That was fixed this week, and it's been grand. We'll take back that business as we fill out our staff of course, but for a bit, things were not looking good.

Hit up church tonight, and found that a very familiar bartender (one of my two regular servers for NFL Sundays) has replaced the Wed night bartender (she quit to move to Denver). That is a plus.

So the storms I mentioned this morning kinda petered out but now there's another batch that could hit here overnight. Like, hail, thunderstorms and tornadoes. Um, ok.

I got dumped on for rain. It was ALL the rain, but nothing more than that. Moved through pretty quickly.

Thankfully, it waited until I was done with work...2000+ people without power in my area.

Really loud outside my apartment right now. Thank God I have a garage.

Good Morning Lodge!

Another beautiful, brisk morning in 978 land.

A bunch of things I should be doing..... I will end up in the garden :)

Good Morning Lodge.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I don't think it's a train coming...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

Good afternoon Lodge.

It's been a good day. I won a contest. 4 Twins tix behind home plate, hotel and $100 cash. Even thought the Twins are terrible the g family will still have a great time. The bad news is that we will have to cut our camping trip short as we were supposed to be camping at Scenic State park 7/2 - 7/6.

Congrats on the win!

Team Lead called me up today, because we were reallllllly slow. DHBoss was out of town this week until today, but tomorrow he is back. SO, they were handing out Voluntary Time Off today, but since DHBoss and Team Lead are my only backups (and one has to be at the main building) it was impossible for me to take VTO today (which was fine with me). BUT, tomorrow, I'm first on the list if the VTO is offered, which I'm 99% sure it will be.

Added note: Team Lead said he'd rather work at off-site, just for a change of pace, so he'll be pushing for VTO for me. :) I'm sensing a nice afternoon on the patio, enjoying the weather.

New people coming into the department soon. The newest person usually does the most "grunt" work, which is sitting in the task queue and making calls to notify why people's requests aren't in good order. That's been me for a few months now, but no longer. I'll be keying wires, enrolling automatic programs, setting up annuitizations, processing backdates, and so on.

Yes, still boring. But better than sitting in that dang queue all day. I've already done a good job of setting myself apart with that. I'm eager to show I'll be better than most at the other tasks in the position as well. ;)

Howdy Lodge. Working from home today. I'm actually getting more done than I thought. I might have to do this again.
