Been there, done that. Progressive lenses. So g, we will be in Alex to shoot on June 16 this year. The BSM team is 5A again and they now go up to 8A, I think. Those must be some massive teams. We have 50 kids this year.

The "USA Clay Target League" which started in MN is now up to:
Minnesota
Wisconsin
North Dakota
Arizona
Illinois
Kansas
Kentucky
Michigan
Nebraska
New Mexico
New York
Ohio
Oregon
Pennsylvania
South Dakota
Texas
Utah

Don't know if the others are growing as fast as Minnesota, but it's impressive nonetheless. Minnesota now boasts 10,000 athletes, 300 teams, 175 clubs where they shoot. The USA League website is the same as the MN one and just modified to be "USA." It looks like other states are using the same idea, just modifying the site to be their own site. Looks like they are adopting the same or similar rules, etc.

There are other states that have rifle and air rifle shooting at the high school level, but the numbers are way smaller than the clay target numbers in MN (100s versus 1000s).

This is cool! When I was a kid we would go shooting all the time. I miss it.

Cruising through some of the state sites, it looks like all but MN, WI, ND and SD are fledgling, just getting started, maybe a few teams.

Pouring here in DC. Hoping my flight to Tampa doesn't get delayed. Turned my phone on when I landed. Get a text from my boss "R u going to Las Vegas?" Text her back "Not till May 31" and tell her I'm on my way to Tampa. She texts back asking in I'm in next Thursday. Yes, I'm flying back from San Diego on Wednesday.

Why am I sharing this? Because two times yesterday, including as I was getting ready to leave, I told her my exact itinerary. I've told her many other times. I've written it on our huddle board. I hand wrote it all on the calendar hanging above her monitor. I know she's got a lot going on but getting texts like that on planned vacation days after I've explicitly outlined my time off bothers me.

Why do you answer? Or if you do include a helpful reminder that you know she may not have seen it but your full itinerary is available in the following places. She may find it helpful

Because we're in the middle of planning of a lot of big things and I told her she can always reach me. Plus I always panic that there is some crisis of something that I should've done and didn't or whatever. Haven't heard back from her nor got any emails so hopefully I'm just being paranoid.

Do you not use Outlook or an equivalent? I answer texts like that with "My calendar is up to date."

I like this. I get that one has to be available but to me it is the mark of a poorly organized administrator to ask that type of stuff. It is a sign of disrespect and lazy to text someone when you can find the info in any # of places. I couldn't help myself from saying so if someone did that to me after all the work I did to communicate. This is why I would never make it in the business world! I don't know how you do it!
