Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #184: The 2016 Frozen Four

Seriously? You own an automatic Jeep?

Yup. Liked the color and price, and didn't feel like waiting around for a manual to materialize.

Eh, I'll figure it out when I get my MX-5. Now if I can find one around that doesn't have 180K farking miles on the clock...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #184: The 2016 Frozen Four

Yep. When I bought my Jeep, I said I want the following (along with a certain price range):

1. Automatic
2. Full doors
3. Soft top
4. Round headlights

That was it. :)
I'm a jeep fan, dreaming of getting a used Wrangler/Rubicon some day. I favor the 2-door, though. Less practical, I know.

Speaking of odd vehicles to learn to drive on, my wife's grandmother learned how to drive with a Model T. She never got a license though, & drove well into the 1990s!
The first vehicle she ever rode in was a covered wagon, moving from OK to TX as a child.

Good morning, Lodge!

Learned to drive in a Subaru Loyale station wagon, with 4wd and a manual transmission. That thing was a tank.

UAA Women's Basketball Team finally plays the National Championship game tomorrow (Monday) in Indy. Of course it's on while I'm at work.

Wow. The lives of some who are still living spanned some amazing changes. From covered wagon to instant video access to anywhere on the planet.

Wearing the winter boots I bought for snow this morning for just the second time. On April 4. Looks and feels like January. Awesome. And that was sarcasm, in case anyone was wondering.

Good Morning Lodge!

Feeling happy today before coffee. Now I have had a cup disgustingly cheerful!

That smartphone in your pocket? It contains more computing power than NASA had in 1969 when they put a man on the moon.

And that's probably a good thing. Unless they had sent teenagers Opollo 11, those guys would have been butt-dialing God-knows-who from outer space.

Nah, they'd have just gotten lost because Google's space map doesn't come with turn-by-turn navigation. And I hear the reception is **** up there, too.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #184: The 2016 Frozen Four

Seriously, it looks like the middle of January outside right now.

We were getting some snow flurries up until around 1:00 here, but that just looks like a normal early April day in these parts.
