You will have to talk to my girls about that. Just checked in on them and nobody has done any work today.

Howdy Lodge. It's Tuesday, which is bad enough. A Tuesday when I had Monday off? A bit worse. Though, many people in my department are out this week so it should be quiet.

I'm really tired. Some noise from somewhere in my building was keeping me up. I do not think it was from my upstairs neighbors, sounded too far away. Plus, I must've ate or drank something with caffeine, which usually doesn't bother me. I was tired, but not sleepy, so that noise made it worse. I only got about 3 hours sleep last night.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

So I have a wood duck house mounted on the pole that was previously the light pole for the rink on the pond. It's a 10' 4x4 with a base on it. I have a steel predator stopper part way up to keep coons and squirrels from climbing it. In the winter I move it over next a telephone pole in the yard. I just went to get it, put fresh wood shavings in it and set it back in the yard. A squirrel took off up the phone pole. Yep, baby squirrels inside. I laid it down on the ground and hope mamma will move the babies out tonight so I can put it up in the next few days. I'm not enough of a squirrel hater to kill the babies, but not enough of a squirrel lover to care if they don't make it either. We have no shortage of squirrels and the dam things eat our tomatoes in the garden.

Lots of wood ducks on the pond these days so I want to get it up soon for them.

Contemplating looking at another house. More room, and the price isn't bad. But it's going to be a complete pain in the *** on multiple levels to move, even if it's only a mile or two.

I know a guy who will help you move. A gal, too, if someone is watching the kiddos.

Sundays would work pretty well for me, and I can probably get ahold of a truck to help move stuff. Pizza and beer and I'm in. ;)

I don't even want to think about that part. This is a couple months from even contemplating. If I didn't have to unload this place, this would be a slam-dunk.

We move in the fall. Either Vermont, Virginia, or Texas. Waiting to hear which, but hoping for Vermont.
Mountains, snow, XC skiing, D-I & III hockey, and all of New England, NY, & Montreal to explore for three years. That would be pretty cool.

Good morning MEUSA and Lodge!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Just signed Mrs Goldy and I up to be Bus Chaperones for Jr's Senior Party. Not sure why no one else jumped on that opportunity as it only lasts from the school to the event location so ~8:30-9 PM. All the other slots are 9-12 or 12-8 or something like that. I'm too old for that $lit. Maybe the other parents want to be a part of the party? I want to drop Jr off and pick him back up and sleep in between.
