Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #182: Snow!

Good morning Lodge. Beautiful day here in Denver. So, I was woken up at 5:55am by one of the construction guys that's renovating the hotel. He was wheeling out a scaffold with all this metal stuff on it. I am flabbergasted why this hotel thinks it's OK to have construction going on at such odd hours, like, when people are SLEEPING!! I have already complained twice and got one night comped. Let's see what happens with the rest of my stay, as I have DM'd Hilton Honor and they let me know they've reached out to management on my behalf. Probably nothing, but we'll see.

Had a nice evening with Quizmire and Sloe Gin last night, had dinner at their house. Good to see them and catch up.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #182: Snow!

Managed to give myself food poisoning at work last night. Started around 0530 (I had some questionable soup at 0200) and by 0600 was worshipping the porcelain goddess, Decided I could tough out the last of my shift. Able to complete everything and the last thing I had to do was empty my patients bulb drain (contained blood from his surgery yesterday). Sure enough, dropped about 20cc of blood all over the patient bathroom. It looked like f-ing Carrie! Who paints hospital bathrooms white!?!?!?!? Came home and went right to bed.

side note: Do not eat homemade soup that has been in your fridge for 8 days...

The entire condo where I live lost landline service which also means my DSL connection. Verizon is attempting to fix it now, but I have no idea when it will be fixed. I didn't realize originally that it was not only me so I made an appointment for them to come out tomorrow.

Anyway, I am now at a Starbucks. I don't know if I will be able to log on tomorrow morning.

Guardedly better. Have had toast and am hydrating with lots of water. Will progress to oatmeal and poached eggs next. Fortunately I'm off until Friday night.
Congratulations by the way!! :) So excited to hear what you decide to do next - you deserve to be happy and healthy!

Poached egs- Yum!!

Well, I am sort of decided. Would rather do nothing but take pics, cook and dig up dead people for my fam tree but I have to still be a grown up :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #182: Snow!

I had to get in on a production install tonight, upgrading some email protocols for various apps. Of course, what should've been the easiest part of the process brought down the house and extended my time online with the office 45 minutes so far. I'm now waiting on something so I can re-test an application after they made a change to fix another application. Such a fun life I lead.

And I made the mistake of leaving my TV on CBS after the install meeting began and all I've heard for the last half-hour is that crap show 2 Broke Girls. How did that ever get picked up to be a show, let alone a popular one? People are wrong.

Congratulations!

Sweet! Congrats

Congrats! Go labor Go! :D

Fingers are crossed I hear similar news this week.

Thank you. And break a leg, JF. ;)

FWIW, let's just say I'll be joining the really, really big leagues. Going from a privately-held company of 500 where I know the CEO on a first-name basis, to a public company of 350,000+. Plus, the position is 50% travel.

Will be a new adventure, for sure.
