I was able to align my in person interview with a time I'll be a lot closer to town. So only a 3 hr drive instead of 8.

More greenbacks, especially because I'm positive the benefits will be worse than my current employer's, and the daily I-75 commute to/from downtown will be worse. So I have to factor those things into any salary talk.

Agreed. I never hope for it - I just want things to be manageable. So far my expectations have been met. Of course, I had an hour of mandatory online education to complete during my shift that is due on the 20th. Set me back a little on the bath time, but still doing okay.

Tied off to some trees here in Mobile, AL for probably a couple days, at least. Front coming through, so it's too rough for us to cross to NOLA.

Also appears that when I go home Christmas Eve, it will be the last time that it is only 14 days off. Probably the best Christmas gift I'll get this year!

Congrats, Goldy. Don't forget to negotiate for lots of cake ;)
