Good Morning Lodge.

So in looking at a summary on line these books that les and ewe (both married) are all into appear to be bodice ripping romance/time travel things about a woman with a lover in a different time than her husband?

It's classy...she's a nurse! :D

Umm...I don't remember a love story in Goon, but to be fair, I barely remember any of the movie.

Once he made it onto the team, half of the movie was Stifler doing a tremendously bad job of chasing around Allison Pill's character.

I am at an ACHA D-3 club game. It is 20 minutes before face-off. There is 1 person in the stands. One. The bar above the stands, naturally, is packed.

Yes, since I didn't win. :p
for the win!

Just uttered the words "what do I know, I'm only your nurse" to a patient. We've already reached critical mass of crankiness - gonna be a long 8 hours.
Sometimes you just have that kind of day

When I read the book jacket I thought it would be awful but ended up riveted. Lots of historical detail.

I love all the details they have about different treatments from the time period.

What a week. Got a call from Big Boss tonight at 9. I was out of work at 6. Apparently, one of our dock doors (auto-garage door in place) was open a foot when the night shift checked in. He asked if I knew that it was closed when I left. It was. Something's afoot. Perfect end to a crappy week. Very little else could have gone wrong, I tell you.

Thank goodness for a long weekend.

Uh-huh, here's some of that detail from Amazon:

"My innards felt like churned butter. It felt as though I had been beaten with a blunt object, I reflected, then thought that that was very near the truth. The blunt object in question was visible as I came back to bed, looking now relatively harmless. Its possessor [Jamie] woke as I sat next to him, and examined me with something that looked very much like male smugness.":p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

So I just realized that I will be in Denver next weekend and there is a possibility that the Patriots could be playing the Colts for the AFC Championship while I'm there. Hmmmm. Now that I've realized it, one of two things will happen - the Patriots will lose to KC (likely) or the Broncos will lose to Pittsburgh (less likely). Regardless, I am planning to go to the Denver-Duluth game on Saturday night and meet up with Puck Swami before the game.

Say hello to Swami for me, if you could. Good fellow, that guy.
