Good morning Lodge! I'd say this is my Friday as our office is closed in observance of the July 4th holiday but I'm working both the 3rd and 4th, so Happy Thursday folks! Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me that the weather forecast holds as is.

Plenty of prime time parking is available today at my favorite tacky & abrasive manufacturer.

I just scheduled an eye exam and the site where I had to complete the insurance info had a tab icon that flips its users the bird with a blue hand.

My employer of ~50 people has 10 people still here. Production took off at noon (which is when they had 32 hours for the week).

wT,
I know that a year or so ago you talked about making the trip when Michigan plays at RPI and Union. I don't know how your impending marriage will affect your plans, but for RPI it is Family Weekend which will increase attendance especially since it is the only game that weekend and the football team is out of town. It probably still won't be a sellout, but you might want to buy tickets soon after they go on sale or through UM. Family Weekend will also mean that the few motels in Troy may have already sold out, but you would probably want to stay either in Latham or by the airport anyway since it is midway between Troy and that other place. I can't comment about tickets in the salt dome.

Took off early to have my dryer vent cleaned. He was pulling clumps of lint out of there the size of a softball. My weekend has now officially started.

Since we pander ;) to the west coasters & we require a supv/team lead here until the phones shut down I have to stay until 6 today (it's my week).
Every couple minutes I turn my Bose Mini up another notch, wondering how high I can go before someone complains. My money is on 11. :D

I wouldn't worry. No highs nor lows? It must be Bose. :D

VACATION!! 10 days off, and I need every last one of them.

Started off vacation with a call from a telemarketer:

"Hi, sir. I'm from the motor vehicle warranty department. How are you?"

"Fine"

"How many miles are on your 2013 vehicle?"

"144,000"

"Wow, that's a lot of miles for a 2-year old car. We offer..."

"No. If I have a problem at this point, I'll push it into the ditch and go buy another one"

"Okay, you have a good day"

They call you? I just get junk mail.

Idiot Moron truck loader apologized to me today, at great length. He's still an Idiot Moron, but at least he realized his mistake.

Let the weekend begin!

Oh, they did that, too. Then the cell phone rang. I think I'm going to tell the next one that the car got stolen. Or repossessed. I'm not sure which.

Number I don't recognize as a contact and am not expecting = decline call.

Number displays as unknown, private, or blocked = decline call.

If it's important, that's what voicemail is for. I'd estimate about 60% of my incoming calls go unanswered.

By answering those calls you confirm they've hit a live body and you'll get more.

I think Hammer enjoys his interactions with the telemarketers. If he doesn't, I sure enjoy hearing about them. :)

The mister and I are celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary today. He came home with roses, a card, and some positivity that we've needed. I gave him a card and made dinner. Yes, I was barefoot.
