Normal day at work, finally. One more day until superhappyfuntime.

Old friend coming into town for the festivities, looking forward to that. FFL Draft Lottery on Saturday, DEFINITELY looking forward to that.

Good Morning Lodge.

I may have found a suc...., I mean buyer, for my white ele...., I mean small sailboat that has been sitting in my yard for years.

So LinkedIn tells me bigblue has been with his current firm for 7 years. Hardly seems possible, thought he just got out of Tech.

Morning.

Congrats to wT on the bling!

Headed to ATL for the weekend. Might be one of my last trips there as my parents are moving to CA later this year.

It was 7 years as of, I think, June 5th.

The two best days in a boat owner's life: the day he buys it and the day he sells it.

BOAT - Break Out Another Thousand

Yeah, this is a cheap boat though. We paid like $700 for boat and trailer 12 years ago. I asked the guy for $300 for it just to get rid of it. I'll give it away if I have to. If I knew someone with a cabin and kids, I 'd give it to them as it is a great teaching boat for kids. The trailer is worth $200.

I'm hoping that when it's gone I can talk the Mrs into letting us get a used fishing boat. Jr and I would use that a LOT more. I can get what I want for $2500-$4500 range. I might have to get a parking pad built for it, there's room next to the driveway and the grass doesn't grow well there anyway. A nice paver pad would look fine right there and work well for a 16'er on trailer.

Did Brent and bbdl hop on the sober wagon?

I always heard that bar was packed most weekends and a fair number of weeknights, from the people I know.

At Churchill Downs. This is pretty cool.

Weekends in summer were hit or miss, depending on the weather. Winter weekends were always packed. Not sure about weekdays.

It was brought up on GPL that all the times bbdl/MNS/I went there, we'd get extra strong drinks (we all drank 7&7s) and many of them were free. My line was always: our bartender pours us triples into doubles glasses, and charges us for singles.

stateofhockey was talking about this last week when bbdl and I were at his place. He said you could definitely tell they were closing soon.
