Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

Hey, what is wrong with 1978? I got to leave HS behind that yr :p

That's just fine, but I highly doubt you've got the Archie Bunker furniture set still in the living room, complete with dark brown wooden paneling on every wall in the house outside of the kitchen and bathroom. Along with a shag carpet you could mow with a John Deere.

I assume one would notice if there's a huge brush hitting their car or just water.

So the friction option is the huge brush, touch free must be the water jets, and I have no idea what the tunnel is - I've never seen Breaking Bad.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

I have to use no-touch car washes (no brushes) due to the vinyl top on the Jeep. Brushes could scratch the "windows."

Whatever our market had up their arse today, they can stop that. Massive volume today, and my co-worker (who helps out in the morning) is off all week. No help, either, as the main building was even more swamped. Figures this happens on this particular week (with the co-worker gone, and I have Friday off).

Tunnel should be the kind where there's a guy or two that will take your money, spray the car down, gets pulled into the brushes and sprayers, and dryers, and then have a guy at the end of the tunnel to wipe your car down.

Good Morning, MEUSA! :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

Morning

I use the auto car wash that pulls you through sprayers and brushes. No attendants.

Also, never seen Breaking Bad.

Lake house/camp- required to be kitchy. That is all.

I learn the wirdest things in this thread. Invasive grass at golf courses, different types of carwash with bikini options.... what is next. I am afraid to ask.

Good Morning Lodge.

Stopped at the dentist this morning before work 'cause a tooth has recently gotten quite sensitive to cold. Gave me some fluoride stuff to put on it at night and they'll watch it for cracks. I'm scheduled back in a couple weeks for regular visit so we'll check back then.

Speaking of car washes, had some neighbors over for dinner last night and learned that a local car wash has an unlimited washes per month deal that applies to the whole household, not the car. It makes a $30 monthly deal much better if we can wash three cars for that price! I think its a tunnel - car gets pulled through, but can't remember if its touchless or not.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

The local tunnels here run $6.50-$7 per wash. If you wash your rides once per week, you're putting over $50 a month into your pocket.

My place is about as bad. Built in 1974 and I think the previous owner had been there since 1978 without leaving. He made some...eclectic design choices. Two shower heads in the master bathroom?! Really?

Then there's the murals (which are admittedly pretty well done and a cheap paint job if I ever get sick of them.) I tracked down the guy responsible to see if he wanted to do more, but he's studying abroad in Europe for the next three years.

I probably pay ($9) wash my car once a month or less and it gives me .10 cents extra per gallon off my gas.

So I can live with no manual labor. :)

Are the shower heads mounted on the same wall or no? Some people have done that for allowing two people to shower at the same time, assuming the tub/stall is large enough to accommodate.

Opposite walls. The shower is easily big enough for two, but still...never seen that before I guess.

And the weird part? That's not even technically the master bedroom. The real master bedroom is down the hall and is about double the size, but doesn't have an attached bath.

No, no.

If he washes each car once per week, he's spending $28/car every month. If he buys the $30 pass, he saves roughly $50/month.

what's the use of showering with someone if you can't use the same head :p
