Did Brent and bbdl hop on the sober wagon?

I always heard that bar was packed most weekends and a fair number of weeknights, from the people I know.

Haven't been there in about a year or more.

Don't ever move here. This is the worst weather in America.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

I was stuck in a boardroom for about 5 hours today. Despite doing some of the talking, I think my eyes glazed over somewhere around the third hour.

At Churchill Downs. This is pretty cool.
Awesome. Did you get to see some races, or just tour the grounds?

Good morning Lodge. Headed to a foreign land with the fiance tonight. Weird Al concert in Windsor, ON. We decided to make it a mini vacation/engagement celebration, so even though it's an hour drive, we're spending the weekend there.

Good Morning Lodge.

So it's all bbdl's fault that Toby Keith's is closing? I mean he stopped going and boom, a year later they close up shop. I've only ever been there for lunch, a group of guys I know would meet there for lunch fairly often.

Maybe if we let him leave that $7000 tip (IIRC) they'd still be in business. ;)

The rumor is that it will be a Buffalo Wild Wings, but I can't see that working. A buddy and I were talking, and a Famous Dave's might work, since the Uptown location has a stage and they play blues/etc. I could see that working. I think the capacity of that space is around 700. It'd be a BIG FD's, but it might work.

Whichever buisness moves in would gut the place and remodel to their needs/desires with no assurances that they would continue to have live music or even such a large bar space.

Yep. The best part about it is that they had live music. If it is done right, a new place could make a live-music place work. As much fun as we had going there, the place had a ton of flaws. I think a better concept, with better management should have no problem working there. I am doubtful that ANOTHER BWW is the answer....that does nothing for me.

Agreed with you and Almsy. I definitely wouldn't mind the FD's concept. The major thing that kept me going to TK's was the live music. Otherwise, there were better bars in the suburbs to hang out in.

Happy Friday kids. Kind of a gray day with a few sprinkles. First Friday in the office for me in about a month. Decided I couldn't take the day given that we're in crunch mode for July 4th planning and we're doing a big video shoot in the office on Tuesday with Nastia Liukin and I'm in charge of all the logistics for that. I hope she doesn't bring her new fiance, who is a former BC hockey player. I wouldn't want to say anything untoward and lose my job. :)

Not sure how much work I'm going to do today. I have some final preparations for my trip to get done, but other than that, I have all of my other projects pretty much wrapped up, going into my 3 weeks away, and I don't want to start something new the day before I'm gone for 3 weeks. I guess I'll just make sure everything is 100% set for the trip, and deal with any daily email issues, calls, etc. Since my boss told me that my absolute #1 priority right now is this trip and making sure it goes on without any issues, I'm thinking he's going to be ok with me spending the time to prepare.

I was hoping that someone else would ask, so I would not reveal my ignorance, but what does NASK stand for? (Not a Saskatchewanian?)
