Gasthof's is awesome. Not only do they have polka until midnight (and then regular "club" music until close), but the food is phenomenal. And it's always packed, and younger people make up the majority of the crowd.

Autumn Brew Review today, shaping up to be perfect weather.

Younger than me or younger than you? :)

My favorite German restaurant when I am in NY Zum Stammtisch. I was thinking of commenting upon the fact that you referred to Gasthof zur Gemütlichkeit as "Gasthof's" which doesn't make much sense because Gasthof means Inn, but then I recalled that my brother calls Zum Stammtisch "Zum" ("at the" or "to the"), which makes absolutely no sense. :)

I miss that place. Vera won't go, and I respect that. She does go to Toronto in October, maybe then. :)

Good afternoon Lodge.

Absolutely perfect weather weekend for a fall trip. The only issue is that we are a week or two early for fall colors as we are surrounded by an incredible maple forest.

The only issue thus far is that I stepped in a pile of horse shiat this morning.

Currently reclined in my chair next to the fire with a tasty beverage in hand while listening to the gopher football game. At least Kent state can say they lost to the 2016 rose bowl champ.

Are these connected somehow? :p

Most people just call it Gasthof's, likely because most people around here don't speak German anymore even though we have a big portion of the population with German lineage. Then they act surprised when they find out the owner's name is Mario. Also, the polka band did a good job with the cover music, they did a ton of other pop and early rock music covers, it's just that Johnny B. Good and That's Amore both struck me as out of place.

Also, I wasn't even considering searching for the umlaut modifier in Gemutlichkeit.

No problem, really. It just struck me as funny, especially since I have spent the last five years attempting to learn to speak the language fluently. As I said, my brother does something that makes less sense, and after correcting him once, I decided that I better stop. :D

Hold Alt and hit 129 on your numpad. Make sure Num Lock is on.

Good evening Lodge.

My favorite company had its service anniversary dealio at the Minneapols Conventions Center this evening. Very cool event, a group called Mo5iac did a 45 minute performance. Apparently they're kind of a big deal.

Since I'm a 25er this year had prime time seats. :)

Good afternoon, Lodge.

Great time at the Brew Review yesterday. Perfect weather, lots of tasty beer. Headed over to bbdl's with Painted Bandit and MNS afterwards, and things escalated, as they usually do. OC today, and finally am home. Nap time is coming.
