Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

Good morning Lodge. Up early this morning to do laundry and catch up on my many shows on my dvr. BU's game is at 4pm today. I don't mind these 4pm games in theory, but I was due to get my hair cut and colored today. I called to make an appointment and my hairdresser isn't taking appointments till 2pm. If the game was at 7, I could do it. So now I can't get it done till Thursday night. Which means I'll have to drive in to work on Thursday. And pay for parking. Since I wasn't going to get my hair done, I tried to make an appointment to get my oil changed. Nothing available till 3pm. Need to push that out a week. Saturday is my day to get errands done and these early games are screwing that up. At least for now.

On a completely different and random note.....I used to buy this Ken's Steak House herb and garlic marinade. It was really good on chicken. I haven't seen it in the store lately so I checked their website and they don't make it any more. I'm bummed about that. I emailed them to ask why. Now I need to use Lawrys, which I stopped using because I could never open their bottles. #firstworldproblems

Assuming that you are talking about a glass bottle with a metal top and you have already tried to heat it so that the top expands, I have found that this actually works. http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beac...334&sr=8-1&keywords=hamilton+beach+jar+opener

In Cake-Eaterville tonight (at the Residence Inn right off 494) for a lacrosse tourney.

And suggestions for a good dinner?

Something eclectic but tasty?

Darkness Day eve was crazy fun. So many good beers.

This, and more.

Running on about 4-5 hours of sleep, which was in my Jeep because rain got into my tent. But the experience of the whole thing was really awesome. Last night was basically: grab a beer or two to share, a tasting glass, and walk around and trade samples.

One tent even had a game going: donate a beer to play. They had 12 beers lined up. You roll the dice. Whatever number you got, you get the corresponding beer in line. :D

HHT for me! Home before 9, one benefit of a game at 4pm.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

I can throw away this stale McDonald's and sit at the HHT again!

Saw this too late. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks.

Ended up at Victor's 1959.

Was quite tasty.

Oh yeah... and Eagan parents are a whiney bunch. Glad we thumped 'em 7-2.

Slides a cold one to gmann and slides in at the HHT with a broom! Let's goo!!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

HHT. The lack of sleep last night is really hitting me now. Feel like a zombie, but I know if I crash out now, I'll be up at 4am or some ridiculous hour.

Mav: I really don't feel like "goo"-ing now. ;)
