s'upp y'all

I need a drink, but when I get out of work it will be socially unacceptable to go to a bar (as it isn't the FF).

that's why god made flasks girl! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

Happy birthday, les!

FTR, there are a couple bars that have 3-for-1s in the Twin Cities metro area, usually from 8am until 10am or so. Specifically for the overnight workers. :D

Back in the day a buddy and I went into a bar in Souptown and each ordered a beer. Waitress could barely carry the tray when she came back....it was 6 for 1.
Can't recall the bar....Cove Caberet, maybe?

Morning

Is it Friday yet?

Good to hear Brent. As a person who was adopted by 1 parent, I can tell you it's the right decision.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

Congrats

Good morning Lodge.

Quite a few years back I spent the evening in International Falls, MN to do some ice fishing.

Was it in May or June?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

good luck with that mr chamber of commerce!!!! like anyone is believing that the ice melts by july :p

It's not melted, but it is a bit too thin for a full shack on the ice and parking vehicles next to it during July.

Lies! With "climate change" the ice is almost always off by 4th of July.

Look at it this way: I can tell him that whatever I do, do the opposite, and he'll maybe turn out okay. :D

Seriously, it was something I wasn't expecting, actually accepted that it wasn't going to happen at this time. This is all bonus time now.

Long week, again. Tomorrow is almost ALL overtime for me. Whee. Looking forward to a weekend of mostly nothing. Well, except the start of season of Gophers hockey.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

And, now that I've looked at my texts, MIL is coming over to use our washer/dryer tomorrow in the "late morning/early afternoon". Fan-f-tabulous. How 'bout that drink.

HOWEVER, much more importantly, SO excited for you, Brent!
yep it was a Tuesday to end all Tuesdays on Thursday. UGH. The internet was crashing. At first accessing charts was slow but then it was to the point it was taking 5 inutes to change windows. Couldn't access pt charts so couldn't get anything done. Endedup hotspotting off my personal phone to get what I needed done. Then found out Lil's car is really messed up. Thought it needed a gasket but turns out it needs a new engine because they are pretty sure it will not make it long even with a gasket. (actually cheaper for a new engine) :(

lewis!
Hippo Birdie! :)

Also, Happy Birthday to our resident shovel keeper.
Didn't see that one on the list. Happy Birthday sleuth shovel keeper

Good Morning, MEUSA! :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

Happy Birthday Gonzo!! Congrats on the new Muppet show!

I am going to have to go with the wait list for a HT. I have no idea what I think about my team this year except it looks like we finally have a goalie

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

Good Morning Lodge.

Went looking for my Gopher polo shirts in the closet this morning. Finally found them in Jr's closet.

I'm ALMOST ready to forgive Parise.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

I guess it will be lonely at the bye hockey table this weekend. I have to wait until next Friday for hockey season to start. Then the week after that I'm road tripping to (#26) Union and RPI. Those will be my first ECAC arenas and will bring me to half way on my goal of seeing a game at every D1 arena.

A newly hired woman in one of the departments I support has the surname of Craighead. Was that her birth name or did she earn it? Hmmm...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

After work I'm flooring it home to catch the Cubbies play and get ready for the first craft fair of the season tomorrow.
