I went to the beach. Gorgeous day. Not completely deserted but sparse down by the jetty. Took 2 long walks, read tons of my book (rereading Harry Potter series. Now am nursing a sunburn because I missed some spots without Mr les to glop the stuff on my back. Very relaxing :)

My brother is re-reading all the Harry Potter books this month too! I've read five and I have the 6th but never read it. Never got the 7th. I wish I had time to read more.

I've had enough with our contractor. He has been working on our house since early May, and this was supposed to be a 3-4 day job. He doesn't answer texts or calls, and comes out to work about 2 hours every 6 weeks, and only after we've bugged him enough to come out. There is only about 5 hours left of work left, 1 guy could get it done in half a day and he still won't get it done. I told him this morning that if its not done by the end of today, I'm calling a new contractor to finish it, and selling all of his stuff that has been in the lawn for 4 months. I'm done with it.

We have been EXTREMELY patient.

I piled up all of his crap, not on my lawn anymore, moved all of the materials we bought into the garage, and requested quotes from another contractor already. Also, took tons of pictures of the stuff he didn't finish and the stuff he screwed up. I'll be sending it all to him, along with a bill for a refund for the work he didn't complete. If he doesn't pay, we're going to small claims court.

Edit: also, screensot all of his text messages and saved the voicemails with all of his commitments to get it done. The earliest commitment date was May 18th. There are about 5 more between then and now.

Next up, we're reporting him to the BBB and requesting that the state revoke his license.

mookie can't believe his stupid school announced today that they moved 7 of the 12 saturday games this season to 4p start times. claimed it was from positive feedback from a survey.

idiots.

(mookie would like to see the results of this survey. least they could do for people who took it)

I swear today was Tuesday, with how my day went. Ugh. The ONLY good thing is I'm getting a lot of OT this week, which should come in handy when the annual hard-to-find beers start coming out.
