So gmann, you going to be home next weekend? Can we stop by for breakfast? ;-). Jr will shoot Monday the 16th and we're driving up Sunday. Staying at the Holiday Inn.

Actually we will be in cityslickerville next weekend. Sounds like quite a crowd will be visiting next weekend though.

The front door is always unlocked. ;)

Heh. Goldy heading to the sticks, gmann heading to the big city, and bbdl and I will be heading to redneckville. Talk about a whole lot of fish out of water!

I happen to think that Redneckville is right where bbdl belongs. I doubt he'd disagree. :D

Went to church for the race with a couple friends. One of the regular NFL Sunday waitresses was bartending, so we got audio. :D

The rest of the bar thought we were a little nuts. We may have been doing running commentary rather loudly and may have hooted and hollered when AP won the race to make some history. Good times.

Howdy Lodge. Still here at the hospital, dad still in ICU. He had a bad night and when we got here this morning he was really disoriented and fidgety and kept trying to get out of bed. He seemed OK when we left last night but he didn't sleep and complained of pain so they gave him Oxycodone and then they gave him an Ativan at some point. Totally drugged out.

Physically he's fine. Vitals are perfect. But he's rambling etc. just need to get that stuff out of his system. He's also exhausted. He did finally sleep a bit today. My mom ran home for a bit. She's been here all day. I stayed to watch the hockey game with him but it looks like he fell asleep. I hope he stays asleep.

Thanks again all for your good wishes and positive thoughts. It means a lot to me!! Please keep them coming.

Hang in there, and make sure you get your rest, too, dear.

What Hammer said.

And knowing you, Scarlet, well that feisty apple doesn't fall far from the tree, it seems. ;)

I have a feeling he'll fight through this. A simple fall won't do him in. :)

Yeah it's just going to take a few days. His body really isn't used to all this medication. He's ready to leave ICU, probably tomorrow. He woke up after my previous post, but he appears to be back asleep. Going to head out in a few.

It's amazing how the mind works. He's still disoriented but then he says to me "you know, I thought about it and I can go to the Sox game with you on Friday." We have tickets for Friday's game but I was going to go with a friend. Didn't want to tell him that just yet. :)

Glad he is physically fine. My Auntie had a horrible time with Percocet. Thought they were locking her in a barn (they have no barn, they were in MGH!) WHen she came off she was back to herself. Hope things straighten out soon!

Today's update - he had a better night and slept. Got here about 9am he was still sleeping. He woke up, much more alert than yesterday. He ate breakfast then fell back asleep. He really needs it. I guess the doctor came in around 7:30am and ordered a cardiac ultrasound because this big technician guy came in to do it. My dad is snoring away and this guy wakes him up. Got it done somehow.

Right now he's up, eating lunch and watching the Red Sox. An aide came in to help him shave. He could use it. I think it will make him feel more awake.

They're waiting for a regular bed to open before they move him out of here. He technically doesn't need to be in ICU but given how he was yesterday I'm glad he stayed.

Great to hear, Scarlet!

I was about to go for a bike ride, but it looks like rains are coming and they're not the sort you want to get stuck in. I've heard some thundering already, and it's not supposed to reach us here for another 90 minutes (in theory).
