Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #176 -- it's Mookie's world, we are just living in it

Little g is 9 years old today. 9!

His bday will forever be bittersweet for me. One one the greatest days of my life and also one of the worst days of my life. Hard to explain or put into words.

Today is also bittersweet in that I'm looking forward to celebrating his birthday tonight but not looking forward to being in the same room as fil, mil and bil. ;)
lil g is amazing! You guys are amazing as parents. the il are amazing story fodder.

Invite them over, but take everyone else out for the party.

Problem solved ;)
then we couldn't hear all the idiocy of bil with the enablers (is this a name of the band?)

It's funny to see you guys post that because it was a horrible commute into Minneapolis this morning. Tomorrow should be a breeze, but not so much for today.

A bit slower today, but not as slow as I thought it'd be. Tomorrow should be a somewhat normal morning, and then after 2pm or so, it'll be me begging for something to do for the next 3 hours or so.

Had a busy busy day. two interviews and a few hours of lesson planning. Four day weekend starts now! I wish I had the option of going to the Cabin this weekend but I've got my summer job to deal with instead.

Also Next week I'm going up to Wolf Ridge (it's an environmental school up near Silver Bay, MN) for the whole week. I'm really looking forward to it.

After this crazy day my head hurts. Nothing a little Thursday night hockey cannot fix.

Home from the Red Sox game with Dad. He's staying here tonight. My folks' new place is too far for me to drive him home after the game. My mother is driving down tomorrow to pick him up, then they're going to the cemetery where all my grandparents are buried. And then they're going to buy their plots. Kind of morbid, though I respect that they're doing this planning now.

Long crazy day at work. A series of mishaps as I sent out emails to some employees to invite them to participate in a focus group. My co-worker programmed the emails to go out at 6am. I got in about 8:15 and figured out they never went out. Checked the system and she scheduled it for 6am for next Thursday by mistake. And of course she was out today (her mom had a stroke two weeks ago and she's been dealing with that) and unavailable. I didn't have access to that account, and our IT person, instead of noticing the fear and panic in my eyes and helping me out, sent me a link to access that account and then they would help me out. Yay collaboration.

Another co-worker with access to that account let me in and I was able to send it. Great. Then I found out the the Survey Monkey site that we were using to RSVP didn't have the date. Oops. Because no one caught that when proofing. That was fixed - people were RSVPing, so that was good. It was just really stressful, especially since I'm off tomorrow. I am not planning to check email at all tomorrow. I need a day away.

Good evening Lodge.

Currently in Sioux Falls, SD. We pick up our pup (Cooper) tomorrow.

Good Morning, Lodge!

2 o'clock Fridays start today at work. The downside is that I have a head cold so I cannot enjoy this afternoon. The plus side is that I can take a nap when I get home.

I read that wrong at first LWB. Thought you said you start work at 2pm. On a Friday. Of a long weekend. Which would suck!

Off today. Taking my niece for a spa day for her 21st birthday, which was in February.
