You think there is anything over 10 floors in Grand Forks?
Actually I believe there's a hotel in Grand Forks that has a grand total of 13 stories.
Without grain in it? No.

Not really a whole lot there that would be over a hundred feet tall, unless they just don't have the grain elevators listed, but I think a website like this would have them listed. http://www.emporis.com/city/102124/grand-forks-nd-usa

Morning

First Twins (or Pirates) game of the year tonight. Should be perfect weather, 65 F today.

Twins were scheduled to see 2 ex-twins pitching, but Worley is in the bullpen. So just Liriano tonight.

Gurt is right. Madison is somewhat normal, but outside of there....hoo boy.

That is the exact opposite of the truth. Madison is easily the most ****ed up part of that state, NOT EVEN CLOSE. Madison is a total ****hole.

Halle-frickin'-llulah! Comcast is here, restarted both boxes and was going to leave. I said "You have to stay because what happens if they freeze 30 minutes after you leave??" He's like "I can't stay." It was 6:08 and my appointment was for a technician to come between 6:00 and 7:00. I said "Can you at least stay till 6:15?" And lo and behold, TV froze and restarted!!!! Wahoo! He said he was going to swap out the box, it was obviously defective. He set it up, went into the bedroom to see about syncing that one and YAY!! That one froze while he was here too!!! So now he can actually see what I'm going through.

Thanks....I guess I was more leaning toward comments during interviews? Just curious if it's trickled down to the interview process.

Not that I've seen. Which is good.

Spoke to soon. Comcast guy replaces both boxes. Been watching for 90 minutes, no freezing. Comcast guy leaves. I decide to watch The Blacklist on OnDemand since when my boxes were replaced on Sunday I lost all my recorded shows. And what happens? Can't access OnDemand. Stupid error message made seem like a billing issue. Turns out there is an On Demand outage in this area. ::head desk:: Why can't the error message say that???? They did credit me for three days of missed service, though. I want to pull the trigger and switch but two things are stopping me - I don't have the time to deal with everything that would entail, and looking at the package Verizon Fios is offering, I feel I get more stuff with Comcast.

Just got a text from my brother out in LA. Three months ago he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I guess his blood level, which should normally be under 6, with danger zone being around 8, his was 11.5. Yikes! Doctor wanted to put him on insulin, he asked if he could try changing his diet and exercising and take the pills instead of inject-able insulin. He had just gone on hiatus, so that was helpful. His bloodwork came back today and he's down to 5.6 and has lost close to 40 pounds. I'm so impressed! He really had packed on the pounds and every time he would come home my mother would say something to him. Kinda makes me wonder if I could ever change my diet so drastically. I just want to lose 10 pounds.

Got arse kicked at work. Actually asked for some backup; it was that busy.

3:30: To meet deadlines (5:15 is the first one to hit), send backup.
3:35: We'll see what we can do.
3:36: To be honest, it's do or die time.
3:40: Ok, backup is heading down in a few minutes.

Backup shows up at 4:30. Backup is also a team lead, he gets "it." The other team lead, the one I IM'd with, doesn't get "it." We bust arse, hit our deadlines, but instead of only having one last shuttle run, we need two, because of how late backup showed up.

THEN, the lead I IM'd with wanted me back at the main building, he was mad I asked for help, didn't think it was necessary, etc etc. Other lead (my backup), after returning to main building, said "F that, go home. Don't come here, we don't need you, he's just mad."

NO one fully understands the offsite until they've been there and worked there. They just don't get how much work you actually do. It's frustrating at times.
