Minimal sleep so far. 3 hour nap last night, about 6 hours sleep last night. I'm still on tilt, I guess.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Still organizing the paperwork for the new store that opened. I missed a lot of information, but the final products were produced and delivered.

Morning Lodge. Not a good one. I do feel better than I did yesterday so I'm heading into work. We'll see how long I last. Looked at myself in the mirror when drying my hair and I look like death warmed over. Hoping my coffee and fresh air wakes me up a bit.

It is a bit nippy out, so that'll get your attention :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

We had a cake-tastrophe at work today. :( One of the production areas likes having potlucks so we had one yesterday for my birthday (which isn't until this weekend). Anyway, some of my coworkers went in on a huge ice cream cake. We ate maybe 1/5 of it yesterday. Someone left the freezer door ajar overnight, and there was a big mess to clean up this morning.

The worst part though is some of these people I work with. One was bitter yesterday about how they "go all out for the new people". I'm told when she walked into the cafeteria today she had a smug look on her face and said "well that's too bad" about the cake in a way you could tell she thought we got our just desverings (can someone remind me the proper misspelling of 'just deservings'?)

Are you new? I thought you had been there for a while. And Happy Birthday a few days early! I say that now in case I am in no shape to say it when it is your birthday. Why am I here today?

Checking emails from when I was out yesterday. I have a whole bunch of banner stands and event materials in an old office down on our lower level that I put there when we moved back to this space in early November. I asked several times for a storage space, never got an answer so I just took that office (the guy is part of our department and he is now up on our area so that whole office area is empty). I've asked Workplace Services to find me storage as I'm assuming they will at some point redo that area and was told no, not for a while. You're good. So I get an email yesterday saying someone needs storage and oh look, Nick's office would be great, you need to move your stuff out. Um, no I don't. You need to find another location for her stuff. Why do I have to be the one that has to move??

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

i filed my taxes yesterday since I knew that I owed to both the state and the Feds. The Feds took my filing and money no problem, but the State rejected my filing. I won't be able to do anything about it until I get home tonight, and the state will probably fine me for filing late now.

Full on struggle mode. Was fighting off the sleep demons on the drive to the airport. But got here and had my go-to breakfast burrito at Hobby Airport, now contemplating iced coffee or monster before my flight in 2 hours.

Only another 14 hours or so until sleep, unless I'm graced by the OT God's tonight.

Why not sleep on the plane?

Why not sleep on the plane?

Only a 2 hour flight. By the time I could get to sleep (I'll be exit row), it'd be an hour to descent.

Chance I pass on pregame festivities (Read: drinking), take a little nap when I get home and then make it for puck drop. Then again, #becauseitsthecup and I'll probably just soldier through.

Well, if there ever was a day to feel like absolute ****, I suppose this is the one.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

I made it till noon! Just got home and called to make an appointment with my doctor. Who of course is unavailable so I'm seeing her nurse practitioner. I hope it's the same one I saw in the fall. She was great. I'm hoping to get a Z-Pac or something. Not sure what I have is just a bad cold, the flu, sinus infection or bronchitis or maybe even walking pneumonia. Out of curiosity les, how do you determine that? Especially if you don't take blood? Anyway, climbing back into bed for now.

If the camera pans to a fan in a red Datsyuk jersey sleeping during the game, it'll probably be me. Hopefully Monster Energy and adrenaline gets me through.

If anyone is caught sleeping wearing a Red Wing jersey tonight, let it only be you. We don't need any of the players napping during the game. :p :D

Root loudly! Wish I could make it to the Joe for one of these games, but seeing Tampa Bay a few weeks ago was probably my only shot. Maybe next round will be more favorable to traveling.

I had that SAME problem. The state processed mine but the bank returned it. I don't think it's the state's fault this time.

Sorry to read. I'll be waiting a month or so, as I still always file paper forms. It's a good angle to counteract online fraud that seems to be prevalent these days.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #175: More Spring Cleaning

JFC why can't I take a sick day ever????? Just woke up and checked email and got a note from one of the higher ups asking me for something. I emailed her Monday night to tell her the person that owes us this gift certificate is looking for more info on the event that she knows all about. I didn't get a chance to follow up and say "Hey did you get my email last night?" as I was busy managing an event all day. I just sent her a note with a copy of the email she apparently never saw and told her I would follow up when I got to the office after my doctor's appointment since I've been out sick for two days.

Blood would tell you nothing unless you are testing white blood count for elevation in bacterial infection. Have to tell by history and physical findings. Some of the worst sick I ever felt was viral. Hope you feel better!

Thought I might see Mavsy's name on the list of finalists for the MSUM women's coach position. But the I remembered he's more a fan of UND, Iowa or anyone else but Mankato.
