Sounds right. I dislike DT for the most part, but a couple places I don't mind.

Like any city I visit, I prefer to get out of the hub and into the neighborhoods. That's where you get a true feel for a town. Hanging out with the locals at neighborhood establishments. NE, Como, University, Fulton, Whittier, etc. All far superior to downtown.

How on earth are we headed to St. Paul?? Either way, I'll take it.

Now you know why I like Toby Keith's. Live music in a suburb. WIN. Hard to find around my area.

That's really the only draw for me to go downtown. It dies get the lion's share of live music.

Seeming I am poor and need to save for some big expensive things, not enough for me to venture in.

Downtown STP has the opposite problem. It's a friggin ghost town. Nothing to do.

Last time I was there, the power went out. It was hilarious.

I prefer that Irish place by the Target Center, on the corner. Or Kieran's.

I have to laugh because Kieran's is an Irish place, on a corner, and by the Target Center. It's just a different corner than O'Donovan's. :D

Speaking of which I stopped by Kieran's yesterday (Friday) for a coworker's good-bye party. I really want to start drinking again. Bars would be more fun while having a drink.

HHT for me! Solid win and a punched ticket to the Garden next week! I bolted right after and headed to les' neighborhood for my sister-in-law's father's 90th birthday. Made excellent time and was able to eat dinner.

No game tomorrow so I can try to catch up on all my shows. Going to cook some stuff as well.
Glad it worked out for you to do both!

Bring my chairs. I have your growler.

Looks like a beautiful forecast...:)

It maybe, but I do not care. It is like B1G fans going to Detroit. Only a handful go.

Had UMD made it things could've been pretty fun.. I liked the bars and such in Minneapolis for last year's tournament. I'm hoping the Mavs play the 4:07 game so I can head over and watch the Sioux play.

Its called a walk out basement. By definition a basement can't be above ground...

This is my understanding as well.

Good Morning Lodge!

And to those whose teams are playing today, "Beware the Ides of March." :D

SOme of us aren't as lucky :(

Sat at the *HT last night but was so aggravated didn't even say hello. Another game today. ND looks like a bunch of C3PO skaters with uniforms on. Refs let everything go last night. (mindboggling let go- ) One of our guys got hurt. Mr les had to stay late and I had to go to neighborhood party by myself until he could gt free. if they have the same mindset tonight Mr les will never be home for dinner.

I said the same thing, les, about Notre Dame when they were here last month. They're pretty distracting. When BC ended their regular season there, they also wore those ugly green sweaters to boot. No wonder BC lost that game. Not that I mind of course. Still....who comes up with that stuff?

Good morning Lodge. Off to go food shopping. Want to get back before it starts getting crappy here. I think we're getting mostly rain but possibly some wet snow.
