Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Got the news this week that one of our developers is on his biennial nervous breakdown and will be on leave for several weeks. I just hope he starts by getting rid of the woman that is the source of many of his problems. Putting down the bong and getting some counseling would be the next step. At any other company, he would've been fired several times over by now.

Well, not at Hammer's, LWB's or Les's.

5 years ago, eggshells at my place. Now? If you can drag your knuckles, your hired. I have some clue what it is, but of course, management knows best. And honestly, it's working for me, so I am fine with it. But they need to re-address their employment tactics.

So the big heads on a mountain are really cool at night.
And there was still snow on the ground.

There's a better-than-average chance the Hammer Shovel Emporium may open this weekend. I got an idea of how to run a business. Let's not finish a goddammed thing for 8 ****ing months. Then, with a September 15th deadline, let's run around with our asses on fire at the last minute like a chinese fire drill trying to get everything done, *****ing all the while about how something is wrong with everything someone is trying to help you with. And then tell everyone "this won't happen next year". Bull****. I've seen this movie way too many times. I don't believe the hype anymore.

I'm not going to take this much longer. I have no idea why I put up with this now. Sooner or later, we're going to cross that line, and it's not going to be pretty if it comes to that.
If you need anything - beer, bourbon, paint thinner, lighter fluid and matches, an alibi, et cetera - let me know and I'll swing by the office. :)

Good morning Lodge. Here at the office today as I really need to clean up my cube. We're moving back to our old location in less than two months and I'm on the road a lot starting next week so this seems like the best time. Though it was like getting into Fort Knox. The space we're in now is in a building we now own but don't manage (as there are other tenants). I couldn't get in from our main building where I parked, I had to use the main building entrance, which is not a bad thing, but then the elevators wouldn't move. I suppose it should make me feel safe but I feel like I wasted about 30 minutes trying to get in.

Good Morning Lodge.

Mrs and I covered the tomatoes and peppers last night and there was frost on the roof across the street this morning so it was a good choice.

It's too cold out. At least for this time of year. Blech.

Although I now feel less guilty about staying indoors all day and watching movies/football.

It's lovely out and will be a comfy, sunny 60 later on, get out and enjoy it! It'll be cold here soon enough. Neighbor across the street just headed out for his run in T-shirt and shorts.

If this were October, I'd agree with you. ;) We came one degree from tying our "lowest" high temp yesterday. So, as I said: too cold for this time of year. Blech.
