Morning from Fairmont MN.
Happy anniversary to the boss & me (22 yrs) - we're heading for a long weekend in the Black Hills and got a head start last night.

And gmann said to his boys, "Kids, since I never hit you when the other is around, I wanted you to see what it's like to watch something you love take a pounding."

Since my boys are probably more Gopher fans that BSU I would welcome that......;)

Edit. And by welcome I mean BSU pounding the shiat out of the gophers. Mom and kids will be bummed but that's life. ;)

Eh. They need to learn.

Happy Friday folks. I had a dentist appoint early this morning, which was re-scheduled from last Friday. I got up early, drove thru more trafic than I normally see on a Friday, get there and the receptionist says "Didn't you get my message? I called to cancel and re-schedule." Last week she called me at work to do this. Yesterday she called my home. I looked at my phone before I got into bed and swore that I did not see any voicemails. Oy. So I drove into work, got their eight minutes past the early bird rate at my lot. So not only did I waste time and gas, I also had to spend more money to park.

Just had a former Gopher goalie stop in the office, Kent Patterson. His dad works here. Kent will play for the Orlando Solar Bears this season, hoping to move up to AHL at some point.

It's cool and all, but not gonna throw money at it. :)

Hit the 50 hour mark this week at work. The only other time I've hit that mark in the 13 years I've been there, is when I've been on business trips where they pay me for drive/flight time besides the normal work hours. And even then, I only topped out at about 60 hours (training some folks down in South Carolina).

Interview with DSW went well. Only downside to working there would be the hours: you're scheduled a minimum of two 4 hour shifts a week (8 hours), more based on performance and availability. So, I'd have to get another job to supplement.

There's a better-than-average chance the Hammer Shovel Emporium may open this weekend. I got an idea of how to run a business. Let's not finish a goddammed thing for 8 ****ing months. Then, with a September 15th deadline, let's run around with our asses on fire at the last minute like a chinese fire drill trying to get everything done, *****ing all the while about how something is wrong with everything someone is trying to help you with. And then tell everyone "this won't happen next year". Bull****. I've seen this movie way too many times. I don't believe the hype anymore.

I'm not going to take this much longer. I have no idea why I put up with this now. Sooner or later, we're going to cross that line, and it's not going to be pretty if it comes to that.

I know this feeling and it doesn't feel good.
