Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Thanks. I was just trying to conduct an experiment with it. I know that you repped lots of the original rep lodgians on a mathematical rotation so if I didn't post, people wouldn't rep any of my comments except you due to your maths. I currently have 20 of my last 25 rep comments as being from you. Has anyone else had a higher ratio of RFalph rep comments than that?

I know, I know, NO MORE MATHS!!!!

Someone posted that all of them were from me once. I don't recall if it was serious.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Don't stop spreading rep... getting rep from you is certain. It's better than death and taxes...

That isn't saying much. :p I was thinking of stopping on 9/17, my anniversary of maxing out. Before that is 9/2/14 which is when I will be 2/3 of century old (66 years, 8 months). (That required math. :D )

23/25 but I hardly post anymore

I've been holding on posting an update because I was trying to see if I could get all my reputation comments to be King RFalph but I couldn't hold out. There is another baby chick in the Chicken Coop! He was born on 8/14/14 and he and his Mommy are doing well!

Congrats!

Good evening Lodge.

Yesterday was my Friday and then Monday will be my Friday.

I will be taking the boys camping for 5 days.

Another week in the books. Getting tired of OT Fridays, though. FFL draft this weekend, and a childhood friend* coming down from Duluth to crash at Chez Rube tomorrow. Should be a grand time.

*Known him since about 5th grade; his dad was our principal for a couple years at our K-8; original member of our FFL league, which is in its 24th year this year.

Bought a refurbished Toshiba laptop. Couldn't beat the price for what I got.

We draft next Wednesday. PPR league. Did the draft order today. I pick 9th out of 12. Last year my team sucked big time. Hopefully I get lucky with my picks this year........

We had our draft lotto about a month ago (rather late this year; one year we did the lotto during the previous NFL Super Bowl  ). I draft 12th/12, but hoping to trade picks with someone in the 4-7 range.

I can't complain. It's been almost two years but I won the FFL and took 2nd in an NCAA BB pool. Think I cleared just over $3,500. About two years before that I won a Ice Castle fish house in a raffle and the night before that my wife won a raffle through the local Chamber of Commerce........that was almost $12,000 in winnings. Other than that we haven't been very lucky. ;). Except for this one time. I think I was around 10 or 11 years old. I was at a water carnival at a small town. They held a raffle. Grand prize was a whole beef and a whole pork. I bought the last ticket. Huge drum full of tickets. I had longer hair back then. This really old old man with the microphone looked down at me and said "hey little girl, you want to pick the winning ticket?" I laughed and said "sure". Big drum full of tix was spinning and spinning. I reached in and pulled my own name. Little girl my azz. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I've sucked the past couple years at FFL (combo of bad picks, injuries, plus drafted 12/12 3 of the last 4 years). However, I have won the title twice, and made the playoffs 6 times (IIRC; and that's guaranteed money).

There are a couple teams in our league that have never EVER made the playoffs. So, there's that. :)

I got nominated for the ice bucket challenge today. I asked my brother to help out tomorrow. He replies some 20 minutes later, "I got the bucket ready." I just know that fother mucker put a bucket of water in the fridge for me. Now I just need to decide who gets nominated.

And here I am just happy to be up to a tally of 8 eggs over the past week from my chickens. Congrats!!!

I'm pretty sure that its 1 or 2 of my 6 chickens that have started laying. I'm really hoping that more of them start bringing their egg machines online this week because I'm going up north next weekend and I really want to take a dozen eggs or so with me up to the cabin. That and have the brats laying them early in the morning, not right after I get out there at 9:30 or so to check their feed, water and to move the tractor up a little more to some fresh grass.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Waiting to board my flight to LA with my nieces. It's my annual Emmys trip! And this year I'm also going to the MTV Video Music Awards! Not sure what to expect there. It's at the Forum. We're in nosebleed seats.

Many kids here at the gate. None screaming yet.

My dad is apparently playing fantasy football this year with a bunch of his buddies. His first time ever and he had no clue. I came down to the farm last night to drop Beau off, since this is Bachelor/Bachelorette party weekend for my sister and future brother inlaw. I helped him figure our how to draft, printed out a bunch of ranking, and told him to highlight the players he wanted. Then told him some sleepers and some must-avoids. He should be ok, but he's still new to all of this.
