Morning Lodge.

Had blueberry pancakes (gluten free) with Mrs homemade strawberry preserves on them for breakfast. Yum.

Still Morning, Lodge!

Twins game last night was fun. About time it was. Getting a massage today to get my shoulder back in alignment. Oh and Doctor Who starts up again!

Renewed my apartment lease today, and was informed that after 10 years of residence (I've lived here for 8 years) they don't raise the rent anymore. Between that, and the fact my rent has only gone up about $125 over those 8 years, I'm pretty friggin' stoked about that policy. :D

I never heard of such a policy. Congrats!

I hadn't either. And to taunt you easterners a little: 1BR, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, W/D in unit, very nice city/neighborhood....and I still don't even pay $950. :p:D

Well, he did it. The boy made the A team.

Proud of the work he's put in and how far he's come.

I still remember the first day at Initiation Hockey where he wanted to quit coz he couldn't skate.

I believe that steak dinners may be in order...

Also, he leapfrogged over 3 high school teammates who got varsity time last year while he didn't. They made the B team. I don't mention this out of snark (well maybe just a little as I am a horrible petty soul :D) but rather because it makes his chances for making varsity this year seem even better than they already did.

Still gonna have to earn it, but things are going according to plan... ;)

So heartwarming to see when your kid works hard and it pays off. Congrats all around

Speaking of... I'm downsizing into a studio apartment with a 600 savings in rent. I'm in it right now doing laundry at the new place because the dryer at the old place is acting up and the building refuses to act on it.

A step down in terms of location but I'll finally be able to get a car. The real move is on Friday. I'm still in arlington. Celebratory beer in a second as I crash cool it in the freezer.

I'd love to be able to afford a 3BR here, if only for the patios they have, which are about 3x the size of mine. You can fit a full patio/deck set (4 chairs/full table) on them. I think they run about $1300/mo, though.

Dang long day
Spent more time at the nudie on the way home than either the drive or the golf :(

Morning.

DRAFT DAY!!!

Half the league hung out at a local dive/townie bar last night, had some speculation, some reminiscing, etc. Fun times.

And apparently "****" (sexy) is now censored. Huh?

Good morning Lodge.

French toast and bacon and locally grown fruit for breakfast.

I know I'm a little late to the party but both little g's and now mrs. g and myself have been nominated for the ice bucket challenge. I get the premise of it but I wonder how many people actually donate to the cause versus do it for the novelty?
